a live action movie could be done as long as long as the right people were hired to make it. i think that peter jackson did a pretty good job with the lord of the rings (especially since those books are nearly impossible to translate into movies). but like what was mentioned before, the last thing that HALO needs is a love story. i have a personal distrust of CG movies, i think they're all -blam!- up. the final fantasy movie litterally made me stop playing FF games. thats how bad it was. but i guess that if bungie made the whole movie themselves (and theres no reason why they couldnt) then a CG movie wouldnt be bad. i just think that with all the special affect we have now, a live action movie could really work. some people argue that it would be to hard with all the covenant and cortana, but they managed to pull off making the ents, orc's, troll's, and whatnot in LOTR look pretty damn realistic. and who says it has to be all one way or the other- a live action movie can still have many CG caracters (like gollum in LOTR). on a final note, i think live action would be the best way to go as long as they stuck closely to the game (ie, not showing the chief's face, keeping the plot the same, and not -blam!- it up by ading a romdom love story to it.)
they way i see it, playing HALO is like watching a cg movie anyways. so what would be the point of making one for the theatres.
