Yes halo the movie should be made but without bringing halo's great reputation down. You can make a great game but a bad movie, Most games that go into movies suck, if you guyz can change that o'd be glad, First off you'd need lots of money for a movie like halo (so hope your halo 2 sales makes some :-P), Second off you really need to be into this, you cant get bored along the way and rush this, Now if you guyz do make a movie and it sucks (knock on wood) half life fans or whatever can prove us wrong about our halo statements.

WHOA GUYS I JUST HAD AN IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! w00t just to prove I have ONE living brain cell. Anyway, as some of you have said, if and when they make a movie they DON'T want to see Master Chief's face. I agree, but many other people have ALSO said that in the books [which I by they way have searched diligently] Master Chief takes off his helmet and armour to take a shower and stuff. So, what they could do like in some movies, instead they could just show like the back of his head or just his legs, ECT ECT. Which is covering both bases, no face, no armor. TADA!!!! ^^

Two things I have in mind:

|First Thought|
The Halo movie should only be based in the events which took place in the Fall of Reach. This will give an insight into the base of the game EVERYONE loves.

Just imagine, Bungie gives you an view into what the SPARTANS had to go through, from their recruitment into the high tech biolabs, from the horrific tests and combat training, to the slaughter of Reach. Big emotion scenes with SPARTANS superiorly outnumbered by thousands of aliens in one of those uber cool deaths scenes, like the one in Matrix where mouse gets owned in style.

Of course, the only way Bungie would be able to leave with its dignity is making a movie which you wont be able to play... since nobody wants to see the whole long cutscene with the flood appearing... (341 Guilty Spark)

|Second Thought|
Make it exclusively in Computer Graphics, only include voices from the game, no corny death scenes, no romance, dont rely on pure snazzy combat scenes for entertainment.

P.S. Sorry if i'm totally copying what anyone else said. (I never bothered to read through the tons of replies)

Wow, from what I've read, it sounds like NO ONE read my post... damn... I don't even read any responses... that kinda sucks cause it's my first big post... oh well. I can always post in other places.

We heard ya chief, but if it aint groundbreaking it just gets absorbed into the great collective consciousness, slighly tipping the scales... of Vin Deisel not being the MC for instance...

Evening all, it really sucks here because I dont get back from work till about 430 usually and by that time everyone over in America is asleep... luckily i knocked off early today

You do make a good point though. Live people do make better actors than cadavers. Usually.

Heheheheh you stole my witty comment, ya bastid!

And there is still plenty to talk about in terms of a Halo movie, its just that now, we have to get more in depth... I think we should all start hucking in names for the perfect cast list, which Ive been trying to do, but I always forget what Im doin and just start rambling.

MC: Adam West ("you cant interveiw me... if Im dead!!")
Sgt Johnson: Chris Tucker
Cortana: Barbara Striesand
Captain Keys: William Shatner ("Chief, youve..... gottogetcortanaoffthisship... shes.... justtoimportanttohavefallintoenemyhands")
343 Guilty Spark: Lambchop
Foehammer: Missy Elliot
Mendoza: Alphonso Ribeiro

I think halo b an awsome freaken movie. After all halo was inspired by a movie. Now I know a bunch of noobs are going to wine saying that "halo wasn't inspired by a movie." Well it was. I don't remember which one but it was inspired by one of the Alien Movies. I mean look at them the marines uniforms are similer, some dailoge is taken striaght from the movie(move like you got a purpose) and the sargent in the one movie is pretty much what inspired sargent johnson. Now if you take the story, charecters and all that stuff from the game but take the special effect teqniques from alien you have yourself a kickass movie. HOWERVER HOLLYWOOD WOULD PROBLY SCREW IT UP. So i have to say no to a movie UNLESS bungie was really involved with the movie.

i really don't pay any attention to the actors, just the movie itself. what i was wondering was what should the enviromen be? CG or real?

Hey I listened to all those audio files on ILB and maybe that guy was right... this stuff doesnt sound like something from a Halo game... maybe it IS from a Halo movie? Although its more probably nothing like that, but merely a medium to convey hordes of secret messages.

It would be cool if it was from a Halo movie though... I mean, it would be nothing like the books, but I reckon thats still ok...dammit! Dont listen to those sound files. Theyll confuse you more than that time that guy winked at you across the counter.

Hello again everybody. Hmmm, it seems most people post that the Halo Movie should be about the books, mainly (the first movie at least) The Fall of Reach. Why is this? Because Eric Nylund captured us even deeper into "Halo Terrirtory" with his perceptive writing and undeniable attention to detail. I'm sorry but William Deitz lost his chance by making The Flood seem like a rerun of what we already know. But Eric Nylund was creative enough to wander "outside of the box" but didnt step out of Halo's guidelines (which for the normal Halo fan can be very narrow). This made everyone want another book. I think (if a Halo Movie is started) that Eric Nylund has a good chance of being the lead writer, once again capturing our attention but this time to the big screen.

Awful and Ropie, I agree with both of your ideas. Awful, it would make the MC that much more enigmatic if he was portrayed in the movie as a man with no identity; an unknown covie killer. And Ropie, I just watched Aliens 2 yesterday as a matter of fact and I've gotta agree with you, he would be one damn good sargeant.

Oh ya, by the way Turkey, Adam West rules Family Guy! Woohoo!

DId you ever think Adam West could make a good Col. Ackerson? Egads!!! It makes sense... he'll act in anything and he acts a good sneaky backstabbing sleazebag.

Oh and Adam West was the funniest thing to happen to Family Guy, and Family Guy was one of the funniest things to hit television in the last 5 years. Is it true they got sued and had to stop making it?

It already came on for me. But ya, I think Family Guy did have some problems and it had to stop production. But guess what, if you watched the week with Seth Macfarlane hosting Family Guy on Adult Swim he said, himself, that new episodes are coming to Adult Swim in 2005. Strap on your seat belts and get ready ppl!
