Subject: So, will YOU be skipping school/work for ODST?

It's all in good fun!

Seeing as how the release date is, unfortunately, a Tuesday, I would be at school. I learned last time, with Halo 3, that skipping that very day can be a bad idea simply because the game arrived after school had released. I was quite angry.

This time, however, I think I'll take the following day off, so nothing can get in my way. :]

So how about you guys? What's the plan?

The fight has been complete.... now get the cookies!

While we certainly share your enthusiasm for the return, we here at the Bungie.net community are mostly made up of snarky asses and jerks who will ridicule you for making a thread about something revealed months ago. We regret that your innocent intentions will almost certainly be replied with anger and sarcasm, and politely invite you to don your Flame-suit, because you just did the internet equivalent of jumping up the Construct lifts.

Pretending to have the swine flu, bad idea.

I have a 4.7 grade point average. I'm skipping school the day ODST comes out. Trust me, you can handle it. :]

Yes, technically it does. But under certain circumstances it can "go over" four points. For example, the AP system can let you, technically, go up to five points (although that might not be possible, simply because of regulars classes that will factor in). In my case, the IB Program lets you go up to six points. Again, quite impossible. Highest I've heard among us is a 5.4 GPA.

Yeah, my schpiel on GPAs.

No, I can wait a few hours for the game to come through the post and I like my job too much.

Agreed, if you get the swine flu you have to be tested for like 3-4 hours and then (just out of common sense) they would probably pump you with morphine so that you could relax and build up your strength. Can't play ODST when your high out of your mind.

I did the same for Halo 3. I not only skipped school but soccer practice as well. Haha and my GameStop got the game in a day late. Yea. I'm not taking any chances this time around.

I worked my years of highschool so that this final year, I have a full afternoon spare. I get to go home at lunch. So I'll be leaving at lunch, picking up my game, and then going to class for all of 3 hours the next day.
