I think that your Armour and Helmet should get dented, and have visible evidence that it has been in battle, like chips in the paint, scorch marks, burns. rips, cracks in the visor, blood splatters and even deteroration like having pieces fall off, and by the end of the game your in game Spartan/ Elite is totally messed up, but it resets at the beggining of the next game.

Of course this isnt some flawless idea, the main issue is how they could do it with issues like lag and connection stuff, also the only way it would make sense realisticly is if your sheild was down during the event of it being damaged, but i think that the idea itself is good for replayablity and realism gameplay wise.

There was already a topic created about this a while ago. The idea is good but I don't think there should be armor pieces falling off or cracked visors. Otherwise your spartan will not look like a spartan or your elite will not look like an elite.

Rule 6: Respect the Admins

“It’s their website, and they can do whatever the hell they like with it. You’re a guest, and hassling them about how they run things is akin to going round your Auntie’s house and curling one out in her tea-pot.”

Meh. Sounds cool, but like you've stated yourself it isn't a perfect idea. Maybe if it wasn't quite as extensive as you've stated for purpose of saving up on processing power of actuall game mechanics such as the rockets in mid air that disappears so frequency...........

Yes, that was a jab at bungie to look into, though I'm sure they already are.

This idea is cool but only if you can see bullet holes but have the holes go away after you character dies

I could live without such a feature. I'd rather they focused on gameplay *cough* fix the Vehicle vs. anti-vehicle balance *cough*

Fight for Freedom

naw, i think when you snipe some one you should see the bullet hole in the visor and like when you get stuck with a plasma the armor should have just a little bit of damage, no dismemberment, and maybe just a little more blood.
