I am of an open mind and I am willing to hear criticism. Also: That's stupid and you're stupid.

You would be surprised.
Come join the XBConnect site and play some Halo 1 on the original Xbox online. The AR still involved the use of the beatdown a lot. The better players knew how to combat it most of the time though, that's why the BR was given to us as a pick-up in Halo 2 and 3 to counter the AR and SMGs.
If that isn't your cup of tea, go on Halo 1 on the computer, it's the same there too.[/quote]
my HCE broke : (
and no melee did not play nearly as big a role in HCE ARing as in H3
Did you play online? Players beat down with the AR a lot.
not nearly as much
stop arguing in vain we both know iam correct
I have been playing Halo 1 CE online for the past few weeks, I think I know what has been happening.
Play BloodGulch and you can see players trying to beat each other down and successfully doing it. Especially when they try to spawn camp. The AR had it's counters, grab a pistol or a plasma rifle, and you could fend off someone with an AR.
EDIT: You can't assume you're right when your HCE disc is broken.
of course you can fend them off...BCUZ ITS PROPERLY BALANCED
in h3 it is not...thats why it is not in MLG...it is overpowered
at 110% damage
The BR can take out an AR easily. Connect all 4 shots and done. That, or dual wield, grab a power weapon, anything, even an AR can counter an AR. The BR is too focused on 4 shots though, connect all four, and done. There was never a need to pick up another weapon.
