Okay. So in FireFight we all know the skull system by now. My question is. Some of the skulls from Halo 3 simply won't fit into play here.

Iron- This skull was known on single player to revert you to the beginning of the level, and on Co-Op if a single player died it would take all players back to the last checkpoint. How will they incorporate this? Will they over rule the Life system and make all players lose if death occurs? Or simply not include this skull?

Black Eye- This one's plausible. My question is though, melees restored shields in halo 3. Will they restore health in ODST? Or your Stamina? Most likely your stamina I'm guessing.

Tough Luck- This one works.

Catch- Also works.

Fog- Okay here's another one. There's no motion sensor anyways in ODST. What're they gonna do here? Probably not use it.

Famine- Works.

Thunderstorm, Tilt, and Mythic- All of these work too.

So my final question is. I recall seeing 9 skuls on the left side of the screen during firefight. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) So that only makes 7 skulls being plausible for Firefight.

Are there 2 new skulls now? Will they change the old Skulls?

Please, share your thoughts below, and don't flame me for whatever reason you see fit.

The fight has been complete.... now get the cookies!

While we certainly share your enthusiasm for the return, we here at the Bungie.net community are mostly made up of snarky asses and jerks who will ridicule you for making a thread about something revealed months ago. We regret that your innocent intentions will almost certainly be replied with anger and sarcasm, and politely invite you to don your Flame-suit, because you just did the internet equivalent of jumping up the Construct lifts.

Iron will probably restart the round if it's in.

Haha that'd get so annoying though. And what you get more ammo? All health back?

It just doesn't seem like a reasonable skull choice to me.

Oh yeah! I remember reading somewhere that it was not only Halo 3 skulls but Halo 2. Anyone remember any Halo 2 skulls they might use?

I think it is the on that Doubles Enemy Health and the one that Doubles Enemy Shields.

They have those in Halo 3, Thunderstorm, Promotes Covenant to higher levels in their hierarchy. And Mythic Doubles the health. Tilt Heightens natural resistances and weaknesses of each enemy type ( Plasma works better on shields, not body, Ballistics works better on body, not shields ) So I doubt they would re-use affects.

If they do so all these skulls will start to blend together. It must be something completely different.

Since you get a certain amount of lives in Firefight, I guess it takes all your extra lives away.

LOL ASSASSIN SKULL NEW BUNGIE OMG

No, but in all honesty, they'll probably use skulls from Halo 2.

Halo 2 Skull possibilities:

Anger- Enemies fire faster and more frequently
Ghost- Enemies don't flinch, whether it be from melee or otherwise

All other skulls either make little sense or were remade in Halo 3

My opinion:

Iron- Reverts you back to the last Wave.

Black Eye: Greatly reduces Health Packs, or you get 1/4 of a Health Pack instantly for meleeing an enemy to death, yet there will be no Health Packs in the Level.

Fog: When you press X in ODST, it will bring up a new view, that lets you see points of interest, Enemies and Teammates.

When For is on, you cannot activate VISR Mode.

Their may also be new Skulls?
Who knows, only Bungie!
Also, some enemies may turn invisible.

Ah yes, Those both make sense. I guess we'll just have to see.

I bet Iron restarts the wave, and subtracts score.

For Black Eye, it would have to be stamina, since health doesn't regenerate, so there would be no point. That would be a colossal pain in the ass.

Fog might switch off VISR.

Yea, I think these are the most plausible ideas so far. Thanks for all the opinions guys!

The skulls you listed were all gold skulls in halo 3, why not include any silver skulls? I could see a couple silver skulls fitting in just fine in firefight. Grunt birthday party and, crap what's the other one called the more bang for your buck one, I think those two would work nicely.

The other's called Cowbell or something along those lines.

And the whole point of FireFight skulls is to add a new challenging twist to the Wave/Round. I've always see Grunt Birthday Party and Cowbell as supportive skulls, seeing as how they help how big your blast radius or grenades and explosives are, and grunt birthday party doesn't really add a challenge to the game per se.

I like your thinking though.
