Will your rank in halo 3 transfer to the ODST matchmaking disk? I got to a really high rank and i would hate to do all of that work again.

There isn't 'ODST Matchmaking', it is exactly the same as the Matchmaking in Halo 3.

Yes.

Don't believe Striped Dragon.

Why?
There isn't anything new coming to the Matchmaking system, it is exactly the same as Halo 3, which implies that your rank will stay the same.

There seems to be much confusion about the ODST game disc, and the bonus Multiplayer map disc. You will not be able to play Halo 3 Matchmaking with the bonus disc that comes with odst. The bonus disc will let you download all of the maps released to date for Halo3, but you must own Halo 3 to play matchmaking. I would also not be surprised if you could not forge or play custom games on the bonus disc. I believe it is strictly for download purposes.

Completely false.
The 2nd bonus disc contains all of the features in Halo 3, excluding the campaign.
Maps, forge, custom games, theater will all be there. Exactly the same as Halo 3.
As for the rank, that is stored on your Gamertag, which is why when you transfer your account to a friend's Xbox you keep the same rank.
So you're still using the same Gamertag for the 2nd disc, I'll let logic work its way from there.

I thought Bungie Said the disk would include the "Complete Matchmaking Experience". But if it is only to download the maps than thats fine. this problem has been bothering me for weeks. everyone was telling me that in this disk you would restart matchmaking from the beginning, but now im fine
