It does, you just don't stick to the walls like in GoW2.

No. The player should be smart enough to know when to crouch down, or move behind a wall by themselves, not let a "Cover System" do it for them. Plus Cover Systems allllways have some sort of bug where you accidentally do something, or accidentally do something. And that normally ends up getting you killed anyways.

It's called walk behind the wall. It's easy enough to do it manually, and I hate getting stuck to walls. It's the worst thing in any game.

The gears of war cover system sucks and is really annoying.

No, because it basically uses the same gameplay that's been in every Halo game since the year dot, and that gameplay isn't really designed to work with a cover system. If we ever get a Halo game that is designed to use such a system, then go right ahead. But ODST just doesn't need it.
