Because Muslims surgically implant organic bombs in their testicles, which in turn will be injected into women during sex, which will grow into BABY BOMBS!

Here is what I think: another profit. A kid. I knew all about the forrunner stuff. Cheif has to kill the last profit. The profit is about 13.Cheif fights with his armour off. Its quite easy to figure out with the clues, mostly those hidden ones.

First of all it's Prophet not profit.
Second, this is a joke right?

The Covenant could use the Shield World against the humains, and they could win the war.
Shields are defensive, the Sword (Halos) could have been used against humanity, however.

well if u remeber the shield world in Halo Wars, there was a fleet waiting o be activated, now if all of the shield worlds are similiar in design and purpose, the shield world onyx would probably also have a fleet for when the inhabitants of the world were ready to leave, they would have a way. so yes the covenant could use the shield world to help win the war by using the forrerunner fleets
That was a different type of Shield world, probably meant to keep dormant fleets safe, while the shield worlds displaced in slipspace would be to keep organisms safe. So the Onyx shield world wouldn't really be useful...

1: It is not profit it is Prophet
2: And what Prophet are you talking about?

: It's more or less a nod to the beginning of Halo 1. Putting the chief back in his hushed casket, and shutting him down. Oh, wait, you mean the legendary ending of Halo 3 with the crazy planetoid thing? I do not know! There is a crazy planetoid floating out there. Who knows? If you look really, really carefully at the lights on the planet, though, there is something to be seen in those lights.
Shield World = Onyx

Onyx is made up of trillions of sentinels.

After 2 nukes went off on/near Onyx it blew off most of the organic stuff on the surface of Onyx.

At the End of Halo 3's legendary ending, you see a planet that Chief's destroyed frigate comes close too.

You can see lights on this planet, these lights make forerunner symbols.

These lights are those sentinels.

BAM said the Lady, case closed, let's move on.

only problem i see with this, if your implying that the planet, or more accuratly Shield world, is Onyx, its technically impossible, the halo universe , takes place in the milky way(presuembly as theirs earth and they call it milky way) they state that the Arc was outside of the milky way, just outside probably not very far. Onyx was inside the milky way, not outside, and during the final cutscene you can clearly see, Peices of the arc floating around, meaning, he would still be in the area of the arc.

Now i was wrong, and that planet was Onyx, how didnt they notice the arc right next to it...

"haha" but you could be wrong my friend!

As you see split space is like a ball of yarn. You go in at one point and you can travel a great distance by jumping from strand to strand. Now at the end of halo 3 the Dawn splits in half while going through a split space portal. Also you notice that the half that makes it back to earth falls from orbit, yes. There for meaning that the jump was not fully completed. The aft section of the ship may have broken off as the portal closed, while the ship was moving between strands. Thus the back part of the ship is somewhere between earth and the ark. Not in dead space.

Or

The blast from the ark exploding would cause the aft section to accelerate to extreme speed and propel it back to the Milky way faster than normal.

The Pieces of the ark could have been carried by the portal until it closed or shot out into space. it works with both.

Bringing you lame jokes, social awkwardness and the occasional good idea since 2008

Since the halos were fired before, is it possible that there are some forerunners who made it into the Dyson Sphere and are still alive inside the same sphere as the Spartans who made it off Onyx?

  • 07.19.2009 9:58 AM PDT

I prefer to hypothesize that there was only one Micro Dyson Sphere, and that there were multiple places on main forerunner planets that small slip-space ruptures would occur, sending most of the population to this one-and-only Micro Dyson Sphere to shelter themselves from the Halos firing.

I loved reading the OP, it had a lot of info from Onyx, and it makes me want to read the books again!

Well if you played that halo wars game there was a sphere in that too, and it got destroyed. So i don't think this is a logical theory.

Which leads me to wonder why the planet was covered in flood?

  • 07.20.2009 12:50 AM PDT

Believe. Bungie.

Alex your expalnation was quite long and you probably lost about half the people through your first post. But you ties it up at the end and explained more that the pokey clyde scrub could. So i give you congrats on a real good theory. The only thing is if there is a sequel what would the enemy be? The covenant we have already defeated. Or would Master Chief find his way to the center of Onyx and make it to the Dyson Sphere only to find that he could be at war with the Sentinels.

My dilema is i get lost with the core of Onyx part. Is onyx still alive, and if so does getting to the core room send you through a slipspace rupture to a shield world, or does the slipspace rupture send you to the Micro Dyson Sphere?

The Slipspace Rupture sends you to the Micro Dyson Sphere.

Personally I think Halo:Reach is going to explain the megastructures relevance and story in previous years and another game will be created afterwards to introduce the master chief again to complete the story.

Maybe the Flood took control of a ship and, using the memories of their victims, flew the ship to the planet in Halo Wars to escape the effects of the Halo firings, and then took it over.
