I was thinking about something. If all of the maps are on one disc and to get the maps all you have to do is put the disc into your hard drive, wouldn't people give the disc to their friends so they can get all of the maps for free?

Please post your thoughts.

I know that but if the friend has Halo 3 all they have to do is bring the disc, put it in and boom the maps are now on the original Halo 3.

Snakie Purple.

Nope. to play the maps you MUST use the ODST disc.

It would be like me trying to play on Isolation without the original Halo 3 disc.

False. You may 'install' the disc to your hard drive, but in essence all this does is reduce lag and latency issues. It's sort of like a pre-loader. Makes your console and disc work less hard.

Plus, XboxLIVE has a system which verifies the maps on your hard drive. This verification includes checking the GT that purchased the content, the console on which it was stored, and the storage device that it was placed on.

Can you install Halo 3 online disc onto the hard drive, and keep ODST disc in the tray, but still be able to launch Halo 3 online disc from the hard drive?

Would be cool, I hope Bungie did this.
