In Halo 3 the animations for switching weapons and everything are a bit slower in order to prevent button glitches and balance gameplay. Bungie needs to find a way to have balance and speed. For instance, in other fps games that use multiple buttons to throw grenades and melee you must let the animation finish before switching, or properly tween the animation. This way you can have fast animations that don't lead to button glitches. If something shoots too fast you make it weak.

In my opinion they should give players the options to change weapon damage, reload speed, melee animation speed, range, accuracy, and crosshair size that shifts to match accuracy automatically and many other factors so when they find out a weapon is too powerful they don't have to remove the weapon or change it over a long and annoying patch process. All they have to do is go to the options and mess around with the weapon.
