Much store was set by the Elites being tall and proud in the previous two games, so why are Elites always hunched over and kind of tilted to one side. Even people playing as Elites in mutliplayer are like this.

I hope that when we have Elites as enemies in Halo: Reach that they are more like Halo 1 and 2's Elites, which were much more intimidating.

Weren't they hunched over in Halo 2? I think they did it for multiplayer reasons but I'm not sure.

Oh yes I did!

It's a serious back injury most elites aren't fond of talking about.

If you're passionate about the thing you're talking about, I'll always lend an ear.

I pretty sure they 're hunched over to match the spartans height as elites are far taller.

lifting with their back instead of their legs

Elite's are actually taller than Spartans so they hunch them over to make up for the size difference in multiplayer.

I think it's obvious guys...
they're just bending down to look at the ground better, in case they find a penny.

"When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons! What am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give EL1TE SUPR3MACY lemons! Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons! I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"

Visual reasons. Elites and much taller than Spartans, and because the game is played from a first person perspective Bungie made the Elite hunched over so their heads would be the the same height as a Spartan's. It also makes it easier for Bungie to design maps, they don't have to worry if the door frame, tunnel, etc. is too low for the Elite model.

Master chief broke so many elite backs that eventually they evolved into having hunched backs. Or there planet has a lot of low lying objects and i was just easier for them to have hunched backs. : )

Oh, wow, that was -blam!- uproarious. I'm partially Jewish; however, I still believe that was comical. Jewish elites are the unsurpassed elites. Earnestly nevertheless, I don't desire to construct this train of thought into a chauvinistic drift for two incentives:

1) Initially, I don't covet to get testified to Bungie and acquire a prohibition from the discussion forums.
2) Subsequently, I get too engaged with xenophobic witticism, at whatever time an individual commences with them, which conducts me to the initial motive.

Your statement appears to exhibit the stereoptype of Jews accumulating each and every share of currency they percieve. I didn't articulate that I would profile a grievance concering your statement. Revise what I alleged in my previous statement that you responded to.

What would you suppose Oh, wow, that was -blam!- uproarious! defines as?

Uproarious is equivelant to: funny, hilarious, or amusing.
Uproarious in these terms is not equivalent to: disgraceful, hateful, or suprising.

he was talking about an elite not a jew and the only money he mentioned was a penny which a jew would have no interest in since they all make bank for the most part

"Enjoy that extra nose hole" Buck in Halo 3 ODST
"Head meet bullet, Bullet meet Head" Mickey in Halo 3 ODST "Spartans never die Jorge, they're just missing in action" Carter to Jorge in Halo Reach "Never make a girl a promise if you know you can't keep it" Professor Halsey to Master Chief in Halo Legends and Cortana to Master Chief in Halo 3
"Common' ya' dumb apes! If you want breakfast you gotta' catch it!" Sargent Johnson to Brutes and other Covenant in Halo 3

Look there were no jews involed here. THe elites are hunched because they dropped their car keys so many damn times they thought "oh for -blam!-s sake" and broke their backs and evoolved like that. They were all hunched over so far that the spartans crept up on them and wedgided them soo hard their mouths split into four different parts. The elites killed all the spartans apart from the cheif because he hadnt gotten changed into his armour yet because he was just in his boxers cooking some bacon after banging the female captin keyes. THERE WERE NO JEWS INVOLVED so stop being so petty about this. Halo reach will be coool!

The issue here is that I wasn't being cynical. I assumed it was a humorous wisecrack, if it was pertaining to the Jews.

Nothing is better than gaming through the day, into the night, then back into the day. It's like when you finally push that power button you feel like you've accomplished nothing, but at the same time, you can't stop smiling.

Balancing issues in multiplayer.

  • 07.16.2009 7:32 PM PDT

In the days of old, there were legends of a land long lost to time. This land was known as Ranna'Mor. Ranna'Mor was said to contain in its borders 7 warriors. These warriors had once unleashed a veritable hell upon the ancient world, until they were locked away. My name is Toriad, and I am one of those warriors. Our return is approaching. Do not run away, do not cower in fear; take solace in your final days, for that is all we can do. -Legend of Ranna'Mor

Besides balance issue, the elites did hunch over in Halo 1, and as the games progressed, it became more pronounced.

I favor them arched over. It constructs them to appear more daunting. The Halo Wars Elites gave the impression of being the most menacing because they were arched over and strappingly muscular, in addition to their eyes, that illustrated luminosity in the gloomier areas, as portrayed in the promo.

Which depiction would you advocate as more intimidating? This or this?

Come on community; it's self-explanatory.

Or, what regarding this or this?

I'd operate within the cooperation of the subsequent ones from Halo Wars, if I boasted a preference to do so.

Perhaps they imbibed a particular variety of foreign "Slim Fast" merchandise, keenly on their regime. I recognize, that concurring to the surplus of the "Halo" populace; they were more intellectual earlier, at that juncture, than presently. That's what I understand from the majority of the society. I can't discern if you encompass parallel judgment, nevertheless.
