"Apparently people don't like the truth, but I do like it; I like it because it upsets a lot of people. If you show them enough times that their arguments are bull-blam!-, then maybe just once, one of them will say, 'Oh! Wait a minute I was wrong.' I live for that happening. Rare, I assure you."-Lemmy of Motorhead

Yes, I'm the guy who had the Flood admit to being furries.
I'm gonna be a rebel of the thread and say Halo 3. I don't know, there are some obvious improvements over Halo 2. The whole beat down thing is different. Its more high powered, but its harder to do as the lunge isn't as long. Starting weapon(assault rifle) you can actually use to defend yourself, unlike the SMG which is a good weapon, but fails as a starting weapon as its range prevents it from useful when people grab the Battle Rifles and other mid to long range guns.
Halo 2 had some things I miss as well though too, the Spectre in particular. The Campaign had very memorable locations. Some of the best missions I've played. They were just, vast. Regret, for example. Same with Quarantine Zone and Uprising/Great Journey. Going invis with the Arbiter was really fun and changed thigns around a bit.
On another note, it's weird, when Halo 2 was in its heyday, there was always a bunch of people who bashed well, everything about it and proclaiming Halo 1 is better in everyway. Same thing is happening with Halo 3 and Halo 2. It almost seems like a fad to hate the newer thing and stick with the older one. Same thign will happen with ODST and Halo 3 and Reach. Therefore, I'm a fan of the whole series, they all have their own traits that make each game its own experience. I cannot pick one over another or bash another so fully.
