Bring Back Rocket Race!!!

A whole game based on killing brutes? What a joke

Actually, you're also trying to kill the flood as well as 343 Guilty Spark and the Sentinels. Don't forget the jackals, grunts, drones, and hunters. And you can technically count the Prophet of Truth as well.

Halo 2 was my first online multiplayer experience and probably the best I ever had when it first came out. I have some great memories of the game. Too bad that experience is gone forever, I still play it occasionally but the population is small and no one does anything fun. The only thing that came close was my first times playing Gears of War 1. Halo 3 is definitely made with more replay value but it never had that same feel as my original experiences with Halo 2 or even GoW1, it lacked the excitement they had.

I like Halo 3 better mainly because of the Forge and Theater Mode options as well as custom game options such as the physics (low gravity, high speed, etc.). Basically, Halo 3 allows you to be more creative. And that's why I like it.

I just wished that bungie would bring back warlock, beaver creek, midship, Sanctuary, and Ivory Tower without doing any make overs to the maps.

Check out my Gaming Rig on EVGA Mod Rigs.

QFT, I can not possibly think of a better period of online gaming. Halo 2 really completely raised the bar for ALL games after that on XBL. Some of my best memories from games are from H2. Playing "glitch" custom games where everyone was getting out of the levels and just exploring what an awesome game that really was or completely dominating MidShip with the Sword. Matchmaking and all of the new features that Halo 2 had really changed XBL forever and in a good way.

Halo 2 campaign was sub-par compared to Halo:CE or H3. But none the less I can not think of any thing of that time frame that came anywhere near the godliness of H2 in 2004-2005.

If I was given the choice between the first six months after Halo 2 was released, and the first six months, or even now, after Halo 3 was released, I would choose Halo 2.

That period from November to around March were the best gaming times of my life.

Yeah well, Halo 2's time is over now. It's time to move on. Halo 3 is the new Halo 2 now. And there are glitched custom games as well. In fact, thanks to Forge Mode in Halo 3, getting out of the maps is sooo much easier than in Halo 2. In fact, Halo 3's features completely dominate Halo 2's features. Halo 3 revolutionizes Xbox Live and Web Integration. The File Share system in Halo 3 is an example. Don't forget about Theater Mode as well. Sooo many new features. And there are still a lot of fun glitches to do.

You obviously missed the point of what we were saying. The statement had nothing to do with the features that H3 has over H2. You statement is clearly one from a person who has not been involved with XBL before H2. I even see your Halo 2 games started in 2007 which was LONG after the times that we are discussing. In fact, this was long after Xbox 360 even came out which to me says that you probably don't even know or remember what XBL was like for Xbox 1. So please don't try to down play the impact H2 had on the experience you see today.

Seeing as I have been playing Halo 2 online since the first day it was available and Halo 3 Online since Day one, I certainly feel that my statement is quite accurate.

I will say that you are right about one thing - H2's time is long over but that does not change the facts that it was still the best thing to happen to XBL (in 2004). It was the precursor to all of the things you seem to aimlessly point out about Halo 3. We all know how great Forge, Theater, and all the other things about H3 are. You don't need to state the obvious.

Yeah I admit I played Halo 3 online first then Halo 2 later. I've had Halo 2 since the day it came out, but I never played it online until I got the Xbox 360 and Halo 3. So I'm basically judging both games based on their offline features. But I see what you mean now. But since I started Halo 3 online first, I'll never know what it's like to start Halo 2 online first.

number 1 i have 3 but the glitches like super bounce and BR glitches make halo 2 what it is today and what it was in its prime so i say that glitches can be fun everything doesnt always have to be so competetive, and so MLG rules when your playing matchmaking people always forget what video games were made for...fun and entertainment not competition

God I had to work at it to get your points. You'll notice in this forum we try to communicate so please take your time and use complete sentences. If English is not your language then I apologize.

halo 2 competition,fun customs,smoother gameplay,better shot registry

halo 3 boring, noobed up,hardly see any full customs, registry is a joke, and registry under lag is a bigger joke.

I've never owned Halo 2 myself, but from playing it as a friends house, I prefer it over Halo 3. Why? I like the MM, and the levels you play on. Most of the Halo 3 MM levels are to different for me to like. I liked Midship, That Hotel like level, and a couple others.

I also preferred the campaign, so much better than Halo 3's.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Halo 2, the community is more mature and more competive.

I'm 23, I have a house, dog, girlfriend, job and I have no interest in any fanboyism so if you're thinking about sending me a childish PM, don't be surprised when I don't call back.

Halo 3 has better graphics, smoother gameplay, better rank system, better online and campaign but i had more fun playing halo 2....i admit it!!! ok?

for 1 I like H2 better because i think it just takes more skill than 3 and the ranking system is wayy better because it is harder to rank up and easier to go down the one and only thing i like about H3 is the customization....but H2 is just pure better, more classic, and bigger in its time than H3 H2 really kickstarted XBL

Yeah agreed. I still play Halo 3 a lot but Halo 2 just feels better. The BR in Halo 2 in just way too much fun. The skill gap is retarded in Halo 3.

Nooooo!!!!! Don't give in to their demands. We must stand together and unite as Halo 3 players in a Halo 2 world.

Anyone ever play Tower of Power/Tower of Bob on Ascention? THAT IS WHY I LIKE HALO 2 MORE. The combonation between the damn non-togglable removable turret and the lack of the only map that truly works... it just cant be played in H3.

lol there are plenty of new games in Halo 3. Take Jenga Tower which is an Infection Gametype. Plus, with Forge in Halo 3. You can make sooo many different maps and gametypes. 100 times more than what you can make in Halo 2. Probably even a thousand times more.

And you can also make dumb ones. If you thought assualt on midship was bad, try halo 3 zombies but zobies can use weapons. Which means getting sniped by them.

Halo 2 has less dumb ones. So i play that more.

Halo 3 Zombies (infection) is an awesome gametype. People have made great games with Infection in Halo 3.

I have to agree Infection is amazing and very addicting but i personally would choose halo 2 over 3, 2 has a better campaign and i enjoy the online experience far more than 3. But disagree with me if you want its only my opinion.
