Installing Halo 3 to your HDD actually worsened performance. Will it be the same deal with ODST?

Hush. If you’re quiet enough, you can hear it on lips of unborn babes.

Installing this game to your HDD will not worsen performance like Halo 3.

Actually both game discs in Halo: ODST have been optimized to run of the hard drive. When Halo 3 first came out, NXE was nothing more that a concept. The way halo 3 was designed made it a bad idea to run off the hard drive (it will degrade your online experience) But now that Bungie has tested it with the new Xbox interface (NXE) they actually have commented that both game discs will run at optimal performance even if its from the hard drive.

You can install disk 1 to the HDD which includes the campaign, firefight and Reach Beta access, but you can not install disk 2 which includes all the multiplayer maps.
