...?

I'm sorry, but I'm curious behind the reasoning of this. Two discs? I guess the guys up there really want to differentiate what's new and what's not.

But come on! Not really a convience.
"Want to play classic Halo MM? Pop in disc no. 2!"

Unless firefight and the story mode really take up that much space, I don't get it.

Can somebody fill me in on this matter?

It's not that firefight and the campaign take up a lot of space. It's that the second disk, maps, MM, forge, etc, takes up so much space that it all couldn't fit on one disk. It's the same reason why there's no Halo 3 campaign on the second disk. It just wouldn't fit.

I am the Prophet of Tree's
fear me.

its not what lethal hate said. its because the games are different and they want to make it were ODST would have its own spotlight and the second disk wouldnt take it all if they were together

That's what I was thinking. Also some people are just so incompetent they can't tell beforehand ODST's multiplayer is Halo 3's multiplayer.

But it seems like such an odd move to me, the production of all those discs for an expansion pack no less...

Blank discs are pretty cheap. They are charging you $60 for it. May as well go all out with it.

I had thought so but damn.

"Hey, you're playing ODST, you wanna go play Team Slayer!"
"Sure! We are compatible, why not?"
...

And yet you still need to switch out a disc. Redundant, but hey. Now I could care less.
