I have been a loyal Halo fan since i was 5 when i started playing halo CE.
First of all, to make this work....
-covenant version of assault rifle is a necessity
-a balance between frag and plasma grenades.....frags more powerful but cannot stick, plasmas less powerful but can stick (if stuck, one explosion kill)
Multiplayer Spartan -starting weapon either AR or BR (players choice) and carries 2 frag grenades
Multiplayer Elite - starting weapon either Covenant version of AR (not plasma rifle, that is like an smg) or Carbine (players choice) and carries 2 plasma grenades
General Multiplayer -Give the player a choice between starting weapons (give only a few options, around 2-4......like Assault Rifle, Battle Rifle for Spartans... Covenant version of AR and Carbine)
Lone Wolf Variant- Have the respawn points (as always) with custom characters
Two Team Variant- the teams are now Spartan vs. Elitethe two teams have a Pelican/Phantom dropping off reenforcements. Have the team that kills all (5,10,15,25,50,100, etc.) reenforcements wins....wiping out that "infantry" for the game (something like Star Wars: Battlefront II)
-Each player uses their custom variant of their Spartan/Elite
Multi-Team Variant- have an even amount of teams
-half of the teams are elites, half are spartans
-each team has an individual color

In general perspectives, take some parts of Gears of War 2, but encorporate it into Halo: Reach. Most can agree that Gears of War 2 is a very good game, although doesnt carry on a "legacy" like halo.
