In the days of old, there were legends of a land long lost to time. This land was known as Ranna'Mor. Ranna'Mor was said to contain in its borders 7 warriors. These warriors had once unleashed a veritable hell upon the ancient world, until they were locked away. My name is Toriad, and I am one of those warriors. Our return is approaching. Do not run away, do not cower in fear; take solace in your final days, for that is all we can do. -Legend of Ranna'Mor

Looks like Microsoft have realised that just slapping the name "Halo" onto anything and everything is one sure-fire way to get money.
If Bungie stays true to the canon established by the book, then there are no Halos in the game, nor were there any in Contact Harvest, Cole Protocol, Ghosts of Onyx, etc. so the purpose of the name is just to make kids think, 'I liked Halo 3, I haven't got a clue what Reach is but I'll buy the game anyway 'cause it's Halo!'
Even Halo 3 should have been called 'The Ark' or 'Halo: Rebuilt' as the Halo that had a brief appearance at the end was the same one as from the first game.
I reckon calling this upcoming game 'The Fall of Reach' would sound much more epic and grand in scale, and be more in keeping with the truth.Yes, slapping the word "Halo" will help with sales, but that's not why its there. Halo, within the game, is a ring world, but Halo in the real world is the name of the series. Whether or not content related to that universe actually involves a Halo ring is irrelevant. For example, "Fall of Reach" is properly titled "Halo: Fall of Reach."
Besides, call it "fall of reach" will cause confusion among those not familiar with the halo novels, or not familiar enough with the Halo series at all.
