Foman is awesome!

The AR is NOT underpowered, the BR is overpowered. That is why I believe the BR should not be in Halo: Reach and something new be done.

well,
I don't recall ever reading the ar is UNDERpowered... 5 bullets + melee can kill you. it's WAY strong already. if anything I'd call this seriously overpowered for a starting weapon.

the BR is not OP at all. it's a mid-long weapon, it does it's job, it should be in HR.

Actually most of the Halo 3 weapons are severely underpowered and have too low of range.

Look... I'm on bungiepedia!

The AR is underpowered, but the melee is overpowered. The strength on it is fine, but it just doesn't take skill like it did in Halo 1 (in H3, you don't need to aim at someone to melee). Remove melee lunge and nobody would call the AR a noob weapon because noobs wouldn't get kills with it without an oversimplified melee.

The BR isnt overpowered, bungie just designed weapons poorly in Halo 2/3. The BR and Carbine are the only two versatile weapons now, while in Halo 1, almost everything was versatile. The PR, for example, was deadliest at close range, but you could also get plenty of kills with it at midrange... making us not so dependent on the primary midrange weapon (Pistol) as we are about the BR in H3. And the Shotty in H1. You could descope someone at mid-long range with the shotty (not get kills with it) in H1, but in H3, all it is is a re-skinned Sword.
