This would make things a lot more interesting, watching the sun rise and set over the ruins of New Mombasa! And, while I'm on the subject, what about weather, y'know, like from the trailer. Personally I think this should be added to the game, but could Bungie pull it off? Hopefully.

What do you think?

Do you see the tigers too?!?!?

This wouldn't make sense for the storyline at all so no

Wayne Jarvis, Attorney at Law; I have a responsibility to tell you that there is no candy in this office.

The game is supposed to take place over the course of a few hours, at night, so no.

Picture a Lime with a ninja mask on it with two katanas strapped across its back.

This better not turn out having a Fallout 3 weather cycle kind of deal. I hated that.

I don't understand how it wouldn't make sense, I mean in the trailer you see The Rookie fighting at Night, and then investigating a Satchel Charge(?) at Dawn/ Dusk. Of course if you have a logical reason I would like to hear it.

No, acnboy. Spartain Ken 15 is a lesser being. Much like the bacteria that lives in your shit.

My shit bacteria takes offense to that comparison.

Don't make me lel. You won't like me when I lel.

No. It wouldn't make sense when you're the Rookie at night and then suddenly... oh, it's daytime and the VISR is useless.

But I would love to see a thing inplemented in a game where you have the option to adapt the day/night cycle to the time of day in your area or the weather, or both.

Wielding a double-bladed chainsaw, wearing a potato sack on your head and spinning around mindlessly is amiably quick at getting anything done

I wouldn't mind a weather cycle.

The gameplay for the rookie takes place over one night, he goes to different areas where the flashbacks occur and you play as his squadmates, after getting all of the flashbacks these timelines converge it would not fit in appropriatly (sp) no matter how you put it

Well, most people seem to resent the idea of a Day/ Night cycle, but what about a Weather cycle? Rain was in the trailer, of course that's not definite proof but I'm just speculating.

the day time is flashbacks from a matter of hours before. the night time only takes place over the matter of a short couple of hours so a day/night cycle really wouldn't work. i also don't believe that there would be a weather 'cycle' though there may be weather. ie, rain at night but not during the day

there was an update about someone working on adding in rain early on. don't know if it stayed or not. however it would be a rain at night, no rain during the day sorta deal

Hey guess what!? I play CoD more than Halo, but I'm not an annoying fanboy. I love CoD more, but I like how involved the Halo Community is...

Seeing as how in the 1st trailer when the Rookie awaken, and he had to dodge the Brute patrol it was raining then. So i think weather would be cool.

Datass

maybe not for the actual game but i think it would be nice to have the weather/day/night adaptors for Longshore... think about how much better machinimas could be! You could film one scene there, then add an FX and suddenly, oh! it's night time and raining!

War never decides who is right; only who is left.

I really like the idea of a weather cycle, as long as it can change the way you approach a battle. For example, while it's raining, you have poor visibility, so sniping wouldn't work, but closer range would be better because ambushes would be stealthier. No day/night cycle though, because the game is supposed to take place in one night.
