You know, the last few Halo games have come out in really weird times for me. And, with me being an extremely hardcore Halo Fan, its been affecting my life. You see, when Halo 3 came out, it was on the day of my first exam. My End of Year papers if you will. Leading up to that, I constantly skipped school to stay and watch the Iris ARG unfold.

Basically, living in Singapore, the times and dates where these get release are completely bogus for me.

But anyway, so I got Halo 3 delivered to my house. And well, that was the end of that. I couldn't study. Whenever I got home from an exam (We were released early after papers), I would immediately come home and crack open the box. The first day, I did that, stared at the menu for a good 5 minutes and then started the campaign. I did study... a bit. But the expected "Play Halo" to "Study for End of Years" ratio was pretty lopsided.

That being said, I didn't do too bad and still enjoyed myself. In fact, the following year, I signed up for a special program for more advanced studies at an earlier age. And, at the beginning of this year, I switched schools and am now doing this special program.

Now, education here is hella tough. Seriously. Complex as hell Math Equations... -blam!-... even English here in this program is tough. Just finished my mid-years and well, I failed a quite subjects.

Now here's the killer: My End of Year exams start September 28th.
Halo 3: ODST drops September 22nd. 6 Days before my exams, right smack in the middle of the final Revision time.

Which such tough exams and ODST dropping at practically the same time, there is no way in hell I can play ODST. But, I probably am going to. Nothing can help me now.

See my delima? :D

Wait a few days? Play it for like one hour or so every day, that won't cut in to much if you absolutely have to play.

No, what I think he is trying to say is he loves Halo so much, that the time releases for halo are at such a critical time for him, so he doesn't get to play it until after his exams when every body else (general statement) will already be finished, and probably leaking out the story all over the internet.

In the days of old, there were legends of a land long lost to time. This land was known as Ranna'Mor. Ranna'Mor was said to contain in its borders 7 warriors. These warriors had once unleashed a veritable hell upon the ancient world, until they were locked away. My name is Toriad, and I am one of those warriors. Our return is approaching. Do not run away, do not cower in fear; take solace in your final days, for that is all we can do. -Legend of Ranna'Mor

I know the feeling. I counted the weeks to Halo 3: ODST on my calendar, and found that it come out during the week of finals. It sucks. But, hey, most games are like this in some manner.

So have a friend keep it from you until you're done. As long as the temptation isn't in front of you, it won't screw you over.

Education > Video Games.

If you fail, or dropout, because of a video game, then youre pathetic.

here in U.S.A game comes out a month after school starts so it's closeness to coming out in summer is what blams me off

Tallahassee?
I spent two weeks in Tallahassee one night.

You just need to monitor your self play a couple hrs the day you get it and then put it away and keep it as an incentive to do good on your exams then when exams are done sit back and relax. It will be even harder for me because it comes in the middle of my semester so i will still have to be working with no end in sight. But i will get my work done first then sit back and relax and play some halo.

You must live in Cali or something. It isn't the case here where i live. We get out of school WAY earlier than you guys do but we start school sooner.

Or why don't you play one full day.take it out of your system. Then afterwards study study study as much as you can. when it comes time for the last day of your time to study before the test just play. And if you can't do that just play for about strictly an hour each day.

my school sucks, the whole release date isnt a problem cuz our break is the day b4 christmas eve and then the day after new year, plus we only have 2 breaks and then summer break is shorter than all my friends. I know what your going through it sorta happened to me but i just f'd up my grades, tell your mom or dad to keep it away, theyll love it that you want to study and have enough sense to know when your "addicted"
