Subject: Mad About the Price Read This! And Get Over It!

If you ever try and fail.....erase all evidence that it was you who tried

Read the Whole Post Please or Leave

Okay this is why you're mad
"But I already paid for those maps!" "Bungie I want a refund! I Already paid for them!" "I already paid for matchmaking! And Forge!" "But I already paid for Halo 3"

Now I Get To Correct All Of You

Regardless if they had added that stuff into the Halo 3 ODST package the game would have cost $60 anyways. Micro$oft has certain standards for newly realesed games they must be at full retail price i.e. $60. Bungie decided that the game wasn't worth that much, but because of Micro$oft they would have to realease it at that price. Bungie added all dlc for Halo 3 plus the new Mythic maps, and the complete Halo 3 multiplayer expierience to fill in that $30-$20 gap. So all you are really doing is paying for the game. They added that stuff in there for free. For all you evil and selfish people out there. Just friggin buy it to support them if you don't think it's worth the money.

Or maybe the game was already $60 but Bungie decided to throw in the rest of that stuff for free. So be grateful youre paying for one game, and getting free stuff along with it. Just think of it as you're paying for a completely new game, and free stuff is coming with it

Yes, you are right, but now you just added to the war on spam by complaining about people complaining about the price. Congratulations, you just kicked down the actual good topic that was theorizing, studying, or actually wanting to talk about ODST. And fyi, the people that keep complaining will probably never bother looking at this thread. Good job, don't do it again...

I may be crazy but thats all in my head. Wait a sec why are there floating potatoes?

Well why does Canada have to pay $70 for the game when many other games are released at $60?

I apologize to Canada but you are farther away from the Microsoft HQ so that is shipping and handling basically

Because your money means less than our money's value. Money is a representation of the amount of gold a country has in worth and is used as a means of circulating that worth. The more money printed in canada, the less it's value is to other countries because it represents less of the gold your government has. So in means of gold, you are paying the same price as us in the U.S. Stop crying...

I dont see why $60 is such a big deal its not that much money.

In the days of old, there were legends of a land long lost to time. This land was known as Ranna'Mor. Ranna'Mor was said to contain in its borders 7 warriors. These warriors had once unleashed a veritable hell upon the ancient world, until they were locked away. My name is Toriad, and I am one of those warriors. Our return is approaching. Do not run away, do not cower in fear; take solace in your final days, for that is all we can do. -Legend of Ranna'Mor

Man, I would have paid full price even without the Halo 3 multiplayer disk. ODST is a full game itself

The difference in price is due to the economies! Or did you not even listen to what I said?!?

And for your information, I did get that from a history book... they tend to cure ignorance. And I know more about your country than you do, and you find it in your right to insult me? I just love posters like this... always out to get everyone with a different opinion or answers their questions.
Granted I am one, but at least I support my rants with factual/ believable information.

Funny how that works...

While I understand what you mean, I have to disagree with you. I hardly buy any game that has campaign only. Me and my friends use to share what we have, so I for one borrowed my friend my copy of Mass Effect while he borrowed me Bioshock.
Seeing that my friends allready pre-ordered ODST I see no use in buying it unless I would want to play Firefight or campaign with them. I'll wait for more info on ODST though, and I hope there will be Matchmade firefight games.

Why thank you, and I see what you tried to do now with the post, and while it was a creative idea, I am still mainly against it for the reasons I posted earlier. But I'm terribly sorry I took such tone with you. But please, do not under any circumstances do it again. Have a nice day. ^_^

Who cares. Its already been decided they wont change this becuz of your whining. Its a -blam!- game get over it if its 60$. We are even lucky to get this game.

  • 07.18.2009 9:35 PM PDT

i can't believe people are STILL pissed over the price.
(that wasn't directed to the OP, just in general)

i mean, seriously?

it has more features than Halo CE had. yes, it does. no, i'm not lying.

Proof:
Halo CE features:
Campaign
2 Player Co-op
4 Player Split Screen (Multiplayer)

ODST features:
Campaign
4 Player Co-op (Possibly same TV? i can't remember if they covered this)
4 Player Split Screen (FireFight; again, it might only be 2 player split screen)
4 Player Online (Firefight)
Possible DLC (Judging by Bungie's track record, this is likely)
Reach Beta

on top of all of that, you're getting the FULL Halo 3 Multiplayer experience.

which, for people like me (my H3 disk broke a while back) means i don't have to buy Halo 3 again.

the canadien dollar isnt much behind from the americans only by 10 cents how does that end up in it costing 10 bucks more for canadiens.

You forget about the partial cents that can't be calculated until they are a larger amount, and as for those tiny cents, they do make a difference once you multiply it by 600 or 700 to actually get the 70 or 60 dollars you're looking for...
