To not implement Firefight in their next game would be like not implementing Theatre or Forge. It would be a dangerous mistake that would alienate large fanbases.
Well, maybe not in the same way that Theatre and Forge have fanbases. At the moment, Firefight is not even out for us to play and has no where near the fan support of Forge and Theatre. But it is one of those features that Bungie shouldn't let go of. It's bacon to any FPS; only makes it better, never hurts to have survival modes included.
On-topic, that diorama map would actually have been an interesting campaign level, since it seemed to have a very Call of Duty real-war look to it, which Halo hasn't really done (Halo 3: ODST looks to pull in that direction). I could see it as a Firefight map, maybe. There don't appear to be many defensible positions to it, since the trenches sort of lead through and through the entire display. However, it would be neat to walk that battlefield.
It'd even be neat to stick that Brute Chieftain. Especially since you can't stick Chieftains.
