No, no and once more no! Haven't game developers learned anything from games such as fable II. The bit where you are a child is always the worst bit of a game, because for all their undeniable charm children are:
A)Weak
B)Inexperience
C)Slow
D)Bad to play in a video game
However I do think this idea has some merit

If there's a "tutorial" level in Reach, I think the level should be about when your Spartan first gets his Mark V armour on Reach, and then you/he have to run a small obstacle course, not to dissimilar from when the Chief first got his Mark V in the Fall of Reach (but maybe no real human opponents, maybe a weak auto turret which you have to destroy).
The level should just be a few minutes long, and at the end of the obstacle course you could choose to run the obstacle course again, if it didn't feel as if you got the hang of the controls the first time, or exit the tutorial and continue to the next level.
