As we all know, the game is probably well into production considering the beta will be released some time soon after ODST comes out this fall. But since Bungie is actually making another Halo game, why not do it big this time and apply different elements to gameplay to expand the online experience of this infamous first-person shooter.

The first element I wanted to propose is something that COD players may be familiar with and that's Customizable Weapons. Now I know that Bungie likes to stay true to themselves and not adapt game components from other games in their genre to keep the entire aspect of what Halo is about. However, I am not suggesting camouflage or anything like that but if some of you are familiar with the first book Fall of Reach (which I highly recommend everyone read before this game is released) on the first mission that the Spartan-II's go on, they decided on their weapon choice considering the elements of battle that they were about to engage in. During this weapon selection period they also decided on attachments such as: scope types, silencers, etc.

Now, I know in Halo, all weapons are acquired during gameplay unless set otherwise. But I think this Run-and-Gun first-person shooter has a little room for a new element to be presented.

It would be cool if before game you were put into a designated spawn area where you were given a selected time to choose your arsenal including weapons and their attachments under a certain budget of your own for each individual player. The further you progress throughout gameplay, the more money you acquire for you budget. And as a team also allows you to buy stationary guns to place in the area of your spawn area or vehicles to add to gameplay.

All of this would require bigger maps with more cover because as we all know, most Halo maps are pretty wide open.

This brings me to my next suggestion of more vehicles. In Halo Wars (which also takes place sometime before Halo 1, there were a lot of new vehicles that were introduced that were really too big for gameplay on these limited maps. If we were given bigger maps with more strategic gameplay we can incorporate some new elements of Halo that were at one time only expressed in the books.

I know this has a low chance of crossing Bungie's eyes or even being taken into consideration if it hasn't already been proposed, but it just makes me feel better to know that I at least tried and that I did express my mind.

So tell me what you guys think...

Halo is not CoD or GoW as much as you want it to be, get over it.

I wasn't saying that it was... I was just saying that there could possibly be similar aspects if you wanted to incorperate more elements...
