Ok i don't know if I stumbled across something or not, but have any of you guys noticed the person who started this thread hasn't said anything else since his original post when he started the thread, and his icon is still the original icon of a new profile? Maybe this person might work for bungie and wanted us to start working on cracking all of this puzzle.

I dont know if this has been mentioned before, (im not going to read EVERY SINGLE REPLY!) but its pretty obvious that Enkidu is an A.I.

Well I didn't see anyone mention this, so here goes:

One of the words in the Page Source is "dysphoria". Not knowing what this meant, I went to dictionary.com:

dys·pho·ri·a Pronunciation Key (ds-fôr-, -fr-)
n.
An emotional state characterized by anxiety, depression, or unease.

Not sure if this means anything....

I've read the Enkidu page a few times and I still don't really get what the whole point of it is and what it's all about. Give me some information on this please.

After Enkidu dies Gilgamesh becomes so scared of death he seeks the knowledge of a wise man and is told to eat a flower found at the bottom of the sea to gain immortality. He gets it but is so tired he falls asleep under a tree and a dragon eats the flower so Gilgamesh dies like everyone else.
Could Gilgamesh getting the flower refer to the forerunners search for immortality? Perhaps they found a way to live for ever but then grew complacent and the 'flower' of immortality became perverted, perhaps into the flood? I suppose the tree could refer to the forerunners thinking they were so powerful that they were invincible as trees are often used as signs of strength and stability.

Oh and one more thing: I think its obvious that the marines that landed on the planet 'Frigid' are to encounter the Flood. Its actually pretty obvious: Icy planet, Forerunner facility (which I think is like that blue beam shooter found on Halo), and low oxygen levels (maybe) are a few itmes to let poeple forecast the events to come. Here, I think that the marines will unknowingly let the Flood escape, then the Flood will repair the Pelicans, reach the ship Lebanon somehow, and then make their way to other planets and infect more people (or Covenant). Also the last terminal is called weather forecast so chew on that.

Cold planet, low oxygen? Sound like a short annoying but funny covenant races homeworld?

No. Its called wether forecast, not weather forecast. I think its a pun on words and not a misspelling. All the other entries are puns as well.

LOL true but it would have to be swampy. And it does build on tha fact that the Prophets took the Grunts as part of the Cov because they had Forerunner complexes on their planet.

So this could be how the flood are being linked into Halo 2...interesting. It has been discussed how they will make their promised appearance...

I suppose the swamps would depend on where they landed, even if its a cold planet i suppose some parts must be colder than others?

I set off an outburst that echoed through the ages. Obviously is referring to the first firing of Halo 100,000 years ago. But what is the significance of it "echoing through the ages"? Maybe it refers to the fact that evolution had to start again after sentient life was eliminated, but I have a feeling there's something more to this.
That outburst echoes still.
It shall echo evermore. Again, I can't see what this might mean. Anybody?

If you are willing to believe that humanity evolved from the Flood, or rather a flood-infected species, then it's quite easy to see what this means.

I think the Grunts coming from a swamp was a mistake by the author of Halo: The Flood. Eric Nylund in his books and Frankie in the Covenant Primer state that Grunts come from a frozen world with a methane rich atmosphere. You can't have a swamp and a frozen environment, a tundra would be closer.

i was re-reading eveything here and i had this idea...

some people think that the answer to the riddle's identity of the Enkidu terminal is 343GS. I kinda think it is with the picture part and all, but then other people pointed out that 343 GS was at the halo during the time period that the Enkidu events are taking place. what if, and i say what if, the "voice" of 343 GS was a forerunner or main forerunner AI, the last of its kind. Its conscousness centralized someplace where it usesmany of these "eye" like things we know as monitors to oversee installations remotely. This forerunner consciousness is locked there maybe as a punishement. Now it wants to be free again or wild again. Perhaps that this could explain the new monitor that still speaks in the voice of 343GS and makes it look like it could be in two places at the same time.

could it be possible? Please poke some holes in this.

True. But for something to evolve and thrive in a frozen enviroment it has to be resilient and adaptable, the flood seem to fit both of these as they are regenerative, don't need food for at least 100 000 yrs (how long halo was dormant) and they can use the strength of species already present, then again humanity also does this by: being able to store fat,
domesticating creatures
medication/human spirit
