Still not feeling any better, so this one is going to be short I think.
Enkidu still feels that JD is his friend. I interperate the tone of this to be similar to an attitude I often take myself. When the going gets tough for somebody, joke with them. Make them relax a little bit, especially when it isn't going to get any better. After all, until the "friends" arrive, they're going to be there for a while.
"So here you are. Stuck with me. Nowhere else to go. Nothing else to do. New to the neighbourhood and don't know your way around. No friends here, either, so you're trying to crash at my new place. How fun. Shall we play a game, old friend? How about a nice game of... "
Please forgive me, but the last line appears to me to be a play on the line "How about a nice game of chess?" from Wargames. Does that particularly mean anything? Probably not, but you know how Bungie is with odd quotes.
The Lebanon is still around, but it's probably in atrocious condition. I don't think that anybody is still on it, though. Of course, the best chance that JD has against the Covies is to bunker down with Enkidu, his old friend, and fortify himself as best he can. They won't glass the planet, because it's a holy place to them, but they will try and take it.
JD, I hope you've got a lot of ammo, my friend, because expect at least a thousand to one on this.
