I haven't said anything for a while, so it's about time that I did.
Why does it seem that nobody has looked into branes? I wish I still had my Stephen Hawking books, but they died when my apartment was flooded. Poor books. Anyway...
"P-branes or branes are terms from quantum superstring theory used to refer to membrane-like structures of one to eleven dimensions that arise in equations of this heavily mathematical theory.
They were originally based on the implications of one-dimensional strings. By the mid-1990s it became apparent that string theories could be extended to also include non-1-dimensional objects called p-branes. The name "p-brane" comes from a generalization of the two-dimensional "membrane" to p-dimensional p-branes. Strings can be referred to as 1-branes. P-brane theories can contain various fundamental components such as point-like objects (0-branes), two dimensional membranes (2-branes), three-dimensional objects (3-branes), and objects of other dimensions up to eight or nine. M-theory seems to contain membranes and 5-branes."
Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page to do searches on this stuff. It's not as good as the illustrated versions of A Brief History of Time or The Universe in a Nutshell, but most people can't afford those books. Hence why I haven't replaced them yet. I shelled out $75 for them. Anyway. This site is very well done, and will answer your questions on a lot about quantum physics, quantum strings, etc.
Now, we still haven't even addressed the issue of how was JD (Jane Doe, IMO. Meh, I'm a Samus fan.) betrayed in the past, by them. Whoever they are. JD doesn't owe them anything, nor does Enkidu. So, it's assumed that Enkidu means humans. Understandable assumption. I agree with it, but if somebody else has a theory, I'd love to hear something other than "You don't owe ONI anything."
Hey, wouldn't a hypermassive object have an effect on the spacetime? It could affect all 11 dimentions. It could in theory cause a breech in the spacetime, but not as forceful breech as a black hole. Whatever it was, the Forerunners wanted to study and harness it. This also rules out a lot of theories we had about the instilation. However, if it were producing such energy without immediately obvious effects on the spacetime, then causality is being messed up somewhere here.
Er, I'll shut up now, before I loose anybody. Best that you learn on your own, with the link I provided.
