Great job Steve. They were interesting letters, and a lot of fun to analise while waiting for Halo 2. The plot was at least as good as any of the Halo books, if not better. Who cares if it was fan fic? It was still great. I just hope Bungie will do this on their own for all of their future games. Who knows, it could become something of a tradition! :-)

Holy-blam-! There are over 1825 posts!!! I think we have the record for Bungie.net!!!!!

Steve, my congradulations and my thanks. That was a superb fanfic, and I'm sure I speak for everyone on this thread when I say that they were completely convincing.

Thank you.

Yea, that Steve guy really kicked everyone's ass didn't he?

It sorta reminds me of what Avalanche did back with the whole "November 15th" thing, but researched a whole lot better

Alright, true confessions time. I'm the one who wrote the Enkidu Terminals. (Catchy name. Thanks.) I've just posted the last terminal and updated the index: http://enkidu.bungie.org

I've started a thread over on H.B.O (http://carnage.bungie.org/haloforum/halo.forum.pl?read= 427276[/ur l]) that I'll be monitoring closely for the next hour or so. If you absolutely MUST post something here, please keep it in good taste.

Comments, complaints, criticisms, and kudos are welcome. However, I will NOT answer questions about plot or character... the work will have to stand as it is.

I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

-- Steve is glad his avatar is so heavily armoured

Kudos and Thank you.

Now I'm off to analyze your posts on this thread...

If you have to ask that I feel sorry for you. I feel sorry because you have missed some of the greatest Fan Fiction ever - Bungie themselves couldn't have done a better job.

This post will be eternal. It should be a Hall-of-Posts post. Unfortunately that hall doesn't exist yet.

Well you had us all fooled. We really thought this was from bungie. You have made the best Fan Fiction I have ever read. In a time when Halo 2 seems so far off, you made it feel like it was just around the corner. Well done Steve. Well done.

A fan of a Fan.

Nice job on conceiving all of this, Steve. There was so much to talk about. We were trying to analyze, predict, point out coincidence, relate it to Halo 2, etc.

You can be proud of yourself. We should persuade bungie.net to make a section for the most famous posts. This one would be on top.

My Stats

I agree with Jackass, this was definitely top-shelf 'fan-fic' and by indulging us in this "Shell Game" you've made the wait for Halo 2 a little more bearable. Thanx Steve, D-sticks.
