Subject: X & Y Axis Sensitivity

I am of an open mind and I am willing to hear criticism. Also: That's stupid and you're stupid.

Halo: Reach is in need of the most important features an FPS game could give. The ability to change the sensitivity of both your Horizontal and Vertical Axis'.

Let's put this into an example;
Have you ever been in a BR dual where the opposing player does a jump over you and is now able to beat you down because you couldn't look up fast enough to take him/her out before he/she hits you? This is where the vertical axis could change that so you could look up and down faster.

Now that you have done this to Halo 3's overall sensitivity you are now able to look up and down faster.

However, a new problem arises;
Have you ever been in a BR dual where the opposing player has a steadier aim with his shots than you do and you're just wildly firing around and pulling off 9 amazing shots? This is where the horizontal axis could come in.

I think having these two options could help with far more than just the BR, and I think they would be gladly accepted to all players in need of varying sensitivity's.

If you would rather keep that 1-10 sensitivity for both, then you could do so as well. This wouldn't change a thing for anyone's sensitivity but it will help those that wish to change it in a more advanced manner.

"What's the last thing a dead backseater ever hears from his pilot?"
"Watch this!"

I think I understand you but i have to disagree. Can people shake faster than they can turn it or turn fast than they can shake it given they have nothing physically wrong with them. Most likely they can shake and turn their head at exactly the same response time. It would be unrealistic to have it where you can change different sensitivities between horizontal and vertical.

This should be in the game, no question about it.

I'm afraid I am going to have to disagree with your post, this feature played a major role in many of the more realistic games. Now we are at a game where we are super soldiers in the far future. I believe this would make more sense for this kind of scenario if it could work out for games like Halo 1 CE, Counter Strike, etc..

You do realise that you can't go further than the 60th minute in an hour right?

Yeah ok, maybe not in Canada...

This is a good call. Valve put this feature in Team Fortress 2 and it works out really well. I would love to see it. Great idea.

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

Ive seen this feature in alot of good games (the earliest I can remember is Doom 3.)

Yep, and no doubt that it would work out perfectly for Halo: Reach.

Bungie listen to this guy.

I hope they do, I have wanted this ever since I was introduced to the more competitive side of gaming.
