You can't kill what's dead.

Stand. Fight. Resist. S2F.

OK, just a quick question. I heard Microsoft was hiring more people for Halo: Reach or something (Joystiq or N4G, I don't remember where I found this). Anyway, in the job description, it says something like "...oppurtunity to work on a AAA title..." Does "AAA Title" mean that Halo: Reach will have the best graphics the 360 has to offer? Or does it mean something else?

Scoring wise.

"What's the last thing a dead backseater ever hears from his pilot?"
"Watch this!"

I could be wrong on this so someone correct me if I am, but I think it has to do with the rating scale of a potential game given by programmers, engineers, artists, etc. in the gaming studio world, kind of like an in-house rating, but I could be totally wrong on this, its just an educated guess.

I wish I was still legendary.

It means a commercial title endorsed by a publisher, I think, likely to be well received.

Unfortunately, since most companies want people with experience on an AAA title, it makes it kinda hard to break into the industry.

EDIT: it actually just means a high quality title.

AAA means essentially a high quality game.
It's all bull-blam!- though. Doesn't mean crap. Every company, in job descriptions, says they're hiring for it. Really, you can tell by the education level required/ examples of work.

And some guy talked about needing to work on a AAA title being a requirement makes it hard to break in. Really that's bullcrap. If you go to a nice college for CS/CE/EE or an art college and havesome good work in your portfolio, you could get hired easily to these places.

Check out the group, Planet Reach and talk about Bungie's next game without the annoyance of the public forum. Oh and it's nice there too.

You thought you had lag, it took Jesus 3 days to re-spawn.

I saw what you were talking about. The article is full of crap because MS wouldn't be doing the hiring. There's a lot of wrong information about Reach out there. Everyone's digging deep for info without checking to make sure it makes sense. As "journalists" they should do their due diligence in validating the information they post, especially when it is so obviously false.

You do realise that you can't go further than the 60th minute in an hour right?

Yeah ok, maybe not in Canada...

That might actually be right. Bungie did break off from Microsoft but Microsoft still holds the rights to the Halo franchise. They may be able to hire some peeps just for this round of Halo madness, sort of like a seasonal position at a retail outlet.
