There are two things on this forum that piss me off;
Idiots and group invites.
What's even worse, is that I can never seem to get away from either of them ¬_¬

no, they aren't. by the way, do all spartans have different size armor or different armor types? no. they are deffinitly marines.
Umm, actually yes. First off, there are six different sets of MJOLNIR armour, three of which where in use during the assault on Reach. These where the Mk IV (Halo Wars), Mk V (Halo: CE) and the new Mk VI (Halo 2 & 3). However, most Spartans at this time used the Mk IV and some used the Mk V. The Mk VI was new at this time, so it's likley only a few Spartans had it.
Also remember the huge number of armour variants. It is canon, y'know (Except Hayabusa, although even that has backstory). Marine armour, however has hardly changed at all and has no armour perms. It looks exactly the same, meaning all the troops there will look exactly the same. The only reason it kept changing between the Halo games was because Bungie never decided on what it should look like.
To me, they just look like a squad of Spartans using different forms of Armour as well as different armour perms. If they where Marines, they'd all look the same.
