Ok... I don't know whats wrong with HPC right now, but I installed the game on my computer about a year ago, and it worked wonderfully...

After a while, I got bored playing the same thing over and over...

So I uninstalled it. Last week I wanted to play HPC again, but when I tried to play, The textures were all missing..

For example, when I load up Blood Gulch, all I can see in front of me are the general shapes of the bases, rocks, and I can't see my arms or my gun...

Now I know that its not the computer, because I play Half-Life 2 on it and it runs quite smoothly at full detail.

Could it possible be the game?

go to "add/remove programs". click change/remove button for halo. There should be an option to reinstall and fix corrupt files. try that.

Sry to ressurect an old topic, but I just registered and can't create them yet...I'm having a problem like this. Installed for the first time, can't see my arms, gun, or any of the characters/enemies in the game. I did the reinstall thing but that didnt help. I have a geforce 4 videocard and have played newer games like Star Wars KOTOR 2 and GTA San Andreas. So I doubt it's my video card...any suggestions?

First off - Kudos to you for actually resurrecting the thread instead of simply making a new one.

Secondly - I have no idea what causes this. I would try reinstalling and / or messing with the rendring options (Open GL and such) it may be that your other games use a different renderer.

Try PM'ing Sexy Legs Davis - he is the resident software guru (okay, fine - he knows his hardware too...)

It turns out it was my video drivers. I went with some older drivers for nvidia and the problem went away. Anyway, thx for the reply.
