I am a fan of Bungie, don't get me wrong. But just to say that people can't talk about "things" is silly. Pretending that something didn't happen when it did is childish. It should be accepted and worked around. We all know what happened and have seen things. They are talked about all over the web now. it's common knowledge and i bet it will be in mags next month. It's already all over gaming news sites. If anything you can get more input from opinions. Wouldn't a company want that?

Exactly. Nobody's pretending anything. We know very well there have been leaks. Does that mean were going to say "Oh, okay, we're going to tell everyone about the secrets of the beta now!" No. It means that we're going to not allow discussion about the beta screens, as part of doing what we can to keep things we don't want spreading from spreading.

If you don't like it, find another forum.

It doesnt matter. Bungie has asked us not to do certain things, so we should respect that and not do it

no because of the fact that this is the BETA version, probably everything will be changed and the general consensus over the game will deteriorate, take the HUD argument, people are constantly saying, this looks crap, its too cluttered! the clutter is just the stats for the testers and coders so that they can record the errors, (i personally like the current hud, minus the test stuff of course, because it shows ammo in a simplified way and everything is clear, it even shows your secondary weapon! it gives grenade info (i was hoping for a new grenade but that might be a later addition), the only thing im not sure of is the coloured bar above the motion tracker, what that is, i dont know!)

but the above reasons constitute bannign discussion on it.

I agree. This is a Bungie moderated Forum and pays for the bandwidth. Free Speech is a right but being heard isn't. You have to pay for media coverage.

As a result, since Bungie's footing the bill then like a guest in someone's house you should respect their rules. It's Bungie's house, If you don't like that the rules then you can leave. Bungie staffers are good guys, they'll let you critique Halo all you want and won't shut you up but should you do so abusively or insultingly then it's time to go.
