Vehicle Idea

Gametype idea

Weapon Add On and Upgrade idea
The idea of this is having ways to make your gun better. These are not perks or w/e the hell from COD. They are just upgrades in general. They are findable not buyable. And in MP it works the same way.

You never buy them, or earn them. These Upgrades are found on the map, using "X" or whatever button picks up things you can pick them up, if you have the right weapon.

What is there
Add On

Laser (Laser will make a Green or Red laser that makes shooting a lot more accurate, also the Laser will change color if your bullet makes contact with your enemy. (AR, SMG, BR, Sniper Rifle, Pistol)

Flash Light-Flashlight is a more intense version of a Flashlight. It wont go as far as a laser but will be more bright and a lot more helpful in dark areas. Also it has a slight blinding factor. (AR, Shotgun,SMG)

Scope-Scope is a small 2x add on. Nothing I need to explain. (Pistol, SMG, AR)

Bayonet-These are like the ones on the Spiker. One sharp blade on the front of your gun, does massive damage. (BR, AR, Shotgun, Sniper Rifle)

Upgrade
Tracking device-This is for Rockets only. It gives the Halo2 homing back. (Rocket)

Night Vision-This gives your scope a Night Vision mode. Halo:CE style. (Sniper Rifle, BR)

VISR Scope-This gives your scope the VISR mode you get in ODST. (Sniper Rifle, BR)

Covenant
The Covenant too will get some goodies. However they have much different things.

Plasma Gun
Battery-This adds 25% power to the gun. 100% becomes 125%

Speed Boost-Makes shooting faster and charging faster

Needler
Speed-Makes needles move faster

Homing Upgrade-Makes homing better.

That's all about.

I think weapon add-ons would be a great addition to the game, but to find them in the map would make maps too cluttered and it would slow down game play. I think that a weapon upgrade system that requires a certain form of experience, points earned from various tasks (kills, flag captures, etc. And others for SP) would be ideal, like you have to unlock these new pieces. And they wouldn't necessarily add an unfair advantage, matchmaking would simply split all of the people in the game into two teams that are as equal as possible. This would add a much more strategic side to game play. Suppressed snipers FTW. Oh, and dying takes points away, I'm tired of shooters just being who can throw there bodies at the enemy the most.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

Too much micromanagement. And balance could easily be an issue.

And would there be upgrades for covenant weapons?

What do you mean no? Of course there would be, the Covenant has more advanced weaponry than the humans, not to mention there caste system, there upgrades could be a sign of rank as well as there obvious advantages.

Just to make this clear.

THESE ARE NOT EARNED. You dont kill 5 things and press a button and BAM get em.

All of these are like equipment, found on the map. Anyone at any level or skill level can use them.

And not every map will have them. And they will be optional.

SO
1-Not earned
2-Not perks
3-Found/Pickable
4-Can be used by anyone
5-Optional

Perfect Idea. One for a Carbine - 25% Percent more damage.

"every time he kills me I have 5 seconds to think about how much I blaming hate him..."

-Phurion

it would need a lot of balancing work done but overall, a good, imaginitive idea.

Ugh...

First on a BWU.. yeah, I'm cool.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

Halo functions under the concept that everyone will enter battle at the same level with no advantage other than those acquired while walking through the map. Alterations to weaponry will drastically change the way halo plays and make it not nearly as fun or successful as it is now.
This is how it is, this is how Halo should remain.
