there needs to be a giant enemy crab that you have to flip over for massive damage....sorry E3 06 flashback.

Ridge Racer! (Sorry, had to do that.)
No, I don't think there should be bosses in Reach since the battle was really just a defensive battle, not an offensive battle.

What they need is at least one quality fps boss. A boss that is not only much larger than you, but also much stronger than you, and much slower than you. Plus, it would be traditional for it to be robot-ier or monster-ier in some way. One whose attacks should be dodged, and whose weak spots should be exploited for a faster victory. Bosses that come charging in dramatically, whose distinct noises fill your dying allies' radio chatter. What we need are good old fashion Big Bosses...

The reason I didn't like fighting Regret was because I thought it was idiotically easy. All you had to do was jump on his chair and sucker punch him until he cries. The death animation (him falling to the ground with no ragdoll effects or anything) made the battle even lamer. There was also plenty of cover, so you easily avoid all of his minions, and even then, once you had a sword, you could easily defend yourself from the one or two elites that came after you.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

Not to mention that if you play your cards right you could be walking in there with either a fuel rod cannon or a rocket launcher, further simplifying the battle. Aside from the opening mission (which was just stupid, not hard) Halo2's legendary wasn't all that challenging.

It was also possible to get a Banshee inside the room where you fight Tartarus. Just shoot off the canards on the wings and you can squeeze through pretty easily. That makes fighting "The Final Epic Boss" very, very easy.

A boss fight would be cool if done right. I still like having to perform an epic escape at the end of the game though.

I agree, An epic fight would please people, But an escape would tie up the story

NO NO NO! Bungie already did this for two Halo games, it does NOT need to be in a third. The one in Halo CE was cool, but the one it Halo 3 felt tacked on a stupid.

I'm sorry, but no boss fights were one of the worst gameplay elements to come to halo. The only kind of boss fight I want from a halo game is a large hard battle. taking down hings like the scarab or a couple packs of brutes. The boss fights they had in halo 2 such as tartarus and the heretic leader were horrible.

I don't even see killing 343 guilty spark as a boss fight. It was more of a story element that let us do something that we've been wanting to do since Halo CE.

I for one forgave him for trying to kill Chief.
