Don't you guys know some weapons are innacurate just for the gameplay reason? If it was real halo then those weapons would be super deadly...

They're bullets. Just like the ones we have.

Except more advanced! And more acurate! If it was real the Warthog armor would be pretty good armor.... Now lets see about tanks!

ODST's because they are from the future and have futuristic weapons meant to kill people who are from the future, because future = better in every way compared to the past (strength, intelligence, agility, etc.)

edit: plus, ODST's come from all countries and various planets, USMC and SAS only come from Britain and the US
no they only come from UK USA has their own SF its bigger but some say not as well trained

I thought the first firearm was made in the 17th century. Site your source.
Anyway we already have "Halo like weapons" if we're talking about human weaponry. As for Covenant weaponry, no, we don't have that.

Well, according to Wikipedia, which IS reliable as long as you're not looking at certain articles (I bet you the article on Chuck Norris isn't accurate) actually contradicts me. It also contradicts you. According to this Wikipedia article, the first evidence of a firearm is around 900 years old.

As for "Halo-like weapons," I did not elaborate enough. I am talking about calibers and electronic attachments, but not their basic operating principles. Does any military use a caseless SMG? What about a .50 caliber pistol that is controllable, scoped, and suppressed? Assault rifles with electronic ammunition readouts? Never heard of one. You see, one only thinks of modern weaponry as "Halo-like" if they don't think about more than how they operate. In terms of bullet type, controllability, and gadgets, there is no "Halo-like" weapon.

No. Strength was very essential during the days of the Roman, Greek, and Persian empires. Also, someone from Paleolithic era would have to be strong just to survive.
As for agility, that doesn't make any sense. People have been agile all throughout history.

i mean that they are more agile and are stronger than they were in the past.

Anyone say SBS? To get into SBS nowadays you have to pass SAS selection, then pass the SBS selection (obviously). The SBS do everything the SAS does, but what gives them the one up on the SAS is that the SBS specialize in maritime interdiction operations. SBS > SAS

The ODSTs would probably be the best considering they are a UN military unit therefore would adopt techniques and training from every country.

My point is that a modern soldier can be just as strong or agile as an ODST. I knew what you were saying.

I bet that the suit that they wear makes them less agile than a modern soldier. If you put a guy in a flak jacket, that will slow him down. However, if you were to put him in a full body suit, that will slow him down even more. Anything you put on yourself makes you less agile, unless it is powered somehow, like MJOLNIR armor.

People Die..But Spartans Live Forever!

Delta Squad X

Ok its my turn, since were on the subject. Well given my personal experience with every combat weapon that can be fired or deployed by a human being and not a machine IE a nuke, or rocket from a F22, or stealth bomber or...oh hell you get my point. The point and objective is still the same. Make the fastest shooting, most accurate, and most powerful, and most of all easiest to use, while also being the lightest, hand held weapon ever is the main goal, of every army, no matter if your from the 1800's or the 3000's. The argument that we have evolved in terms of firepower is very true, but the overall idea is the same. If you notice the halo like weapons still have a trigger, they still have barrel, and they still have magazines which still hold brass rounds. So yes we do have Halo like weapons, Just not as advanced. But i bet you $1000000 that in 100 years, the hand held weapons will still be based on the principals we use today.

You can try to say whatever you want, but evolution is inevitable of course but the tried and true method will always be the same..why fix what isnt broken? But just try to improve on it to make it better.... I rest my case.

ODST's. They have around 550 years of better technology on there side.
and it doesnt show, USMC > ODST

So what you're saying is cannon fodder > highly trained squads of shock troopers?
