Subject: What weapons would you carry? (not just dual wield!)

Well there has been numerous threads regarding: "Dual wielding combos". But what i would like to know is what weapons would you carry around on campaign. That includes any dual wielding combos. So for example you could say that you would have 2 SMG's and a Covie Carbine. Or perhaps, a plasma pistol 'n' needler and a battle rifle.

Also say like if a sniper rifle or rocket launcher were available would you switch it for one of your weapons.

C'mon we all know we've been planning our combos for months now. its time tell some other people your thoughts.

carry P. Pistol(left hand) SMG(right hand) and a Sniper rifle in the reserve slot and have frags ready.

SMG and Needler, with a beam rifle or sniper rifle in reserve.

Well i would have a plasma pistol 'n' smg in one slot and if i could i would have a dual needlers. i would also swapp out one of my combos for a battle rifle or covie carbine. depending on which turns out to be the stronger in a particular situation.

probably br and shotgun, or br and plasma rifle.

I would think I'd go with the Sniper Rifle, mainly because it would be horrible to be pinned down by two or three elites with their own Covenant Sniper Rifles in distant buildings. A x2 scope is not going to cut it.

Then I'll keep an SMG in one hand and whatever is handy with the other. That way I can be more adaptive.

One thing I've learned from playing Halo1 is that when you don't care about ammunition you can lay down a lot more suppression fire and if at least one of your weapons is always of Covenant design you'll always have ammo around.

my guns would be energy sword and battle rifle
the BR has medium long range and and medium range covered and the Esword would have close range covered

yoguys know that you can't have dual weilding combos in reserve, i.e. if you are dual weilding and you press y, you'll drop your left weapon, put your right away, and pull out a new one. this way you can't have four weapons at once, and it makes it so that you really cant throw grenades. (if you could put both in reserve, you could quickly swithch, chuck and switch back, unbalancing dual weilding)

plasma pistol and SMG. and id use nades. i always went PPistol and AR in the first, so ill stick with that plan.

unless the new human pistol is a lot of fun, cuz then maybe ill jonwu the game and run around with a pair of bad muther f-ers.

id be so pimp, it would be ridiculous.

Even if it turns out like that you could use your dual wield then switch to your other weapon and then before you leave you go back and pick up the 1 you dropped.

On topic I would go with 2 human pistols (magnums, i hope there included) and, assuming you can use it, the brute weapon.

Dual Wielding:
Plasma pistol, to take down sheilds, and an SMG to finish the job.

Regular:
Battle Rifle/Covie Carbine for longer range stuff.

RL's are human. You mean Fuel Rod Cannon, right? Although if you're Covenant you cant have SMG's or the tracking Rocket Launcher. So, ha.
