Can you play the trial and the game on a Vista operating system? Sorry this is an one answer thread but I couldn't find it anywhere else.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

I run HPC on Vista and I haven't had a single problem with it.

I'm still waiting for the game that doesn't work under Vista. I think it's a myth.

All I ask is that you don't try to capture me.

The only game I can think of that doesn't run on Vista is the 3rd Splinter Cell game, because of it's terrible Starforce DRM. Halo PC, HCE, and the trial worked perfectly fine on Vista for me.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

It is anohter vista myth (there are so many vista myths that are just fake). And if it doesnt work, just simply turn off UAC. That fixes 99% of vista program issues. However, windows 7 is a different story (PunkBuster games have issues). And also, if you install Halo PC in vista, it comes up in games (on the start menu)

Remember, Windows 7 isn't officially released to the general public as of yet. Once it is I'm sure PB will be updated to work on Windows 7.
About the turning "UAC" off, it's actually better to just run the program as admin or in compatibility mode. turning "UAC" off just kills the extra security the Vista has over XP. I have MANY games and programs installed and have yet had to turn "UAC" off to install or even use them.

This is an old account iDarkWint3r is my new Bungie.net user.

No problem running Halo Trial,Unless you have the earliest versions of Vista.Like my 32-bit Vista PC v5.12,Then I bought 64-bit because the extreme crashing of 32-bit.XP works fine for Trial as well,However, get a decent Graphics card. And good frame rate so you can load the game and it can be processed well.
