I don't know why, but the campaign almost reminds me of GTA. In the campaign, you are basically in a very large city where you can free roam all you want, shoot some baddies while you're at it. Picking up clues and engaging in that mission seems similar to engaging GTA's missions in a way. In both games you have a map that leads the way to your missions/objectives. Maybe it is just me, but does anybody feel the same way?

they are both open world games so ya I guess they have some similarities

there's been so many open world games in the last 2 generations that calling a shooter with an open world GTA-like is such a poor description

Probably more like Overlord, what with a central hub, enemies that respawn after traveling away from the location, and being able to visit places in a different order doesn't mean you can unlock everything the first time you go somewhere. You might need a key-code or something you can only get from a different area.
