I was thinking that maybe Halo Reach could be based on Halo: First Strike. I mean The Fall of Reach wouldn't make much of a game, since it doesn't have the type of action fit for Halo. On the other hand Halo: First Strike is more filled with that type of action (against the Covenant). In my opinion the chronilogical order of the Halo games would be: Halo Wars, (First part of) Halo: Reach, Halo: CE, (Second Part of) Halo Reach, Halo 2, Halo 3: ODST, Halo 3. The Halo 3 trailer shows footage from the beginning/middle of the game, the Halo 3: ODST trailer shows footage from the beginning of the game, so wouldn't it make sense that the Halo: Reach trailer footage is from the beginning of the game (Covenant attack on Reach)? If Bungie would make The Fall of Reach into some other medium, I think that the logical medium would be a movie. Bungie has a habit of making us believe what is not true (making us think that the portal in Voi in the trailer was actually the ark), so maybe the focus of the game will be:
1. The Battle of Reach
2. How the Spartan team that landed on Reach survived
3. The Forerunner Crystal
4. Blowing up the Unyielding Hierophant
I tried to organize my thoughts/theories into this post, I'm sorry its hard to understand.
