Subject: Add a vote to boot system?

Hey.

I would like to suggest an idea Bungie should take up for this game.

This idea is a vote to boot system.

So, the idea is if your getting shot by an ally but hes not killing you, then you can put a vote to kick poll up within your team or the whole game to kick this player...

It would stop the stupid shot, wait for sheilds to recharge- shot- etc.... and then all you can do about it is kill him but then you get booted for teamkilling...

I really believe this would fix this problem.

Thanks.

Rawr Im a dino!

Yes im annoyed by people who like ot shoot me just because i have the sniper. I go into scope only to quickly be shot again. Very good idea.

  • 07.21.2009 12:23 PM PDT

No, because there are a lot of rude people out there that would boot people just because they don't like their gamertag.or other random reasons.

GRAVITY CAT NOT AMUSED
Process initiated : Attempting to give a damn

Process stopping : Unable to give a damn, stopping

Process failed : Damn not given

Hell yes, voting one up for stupid teammates .

You must lay a sacrifice on the almighty altar of FRAG. It demands you get 4 kills with 1 laser shot.
Only then will the gods be appeased.

Me: Im going to hell...

Not at all! This was bad in Shadowrun and L4D, don't ruin Halo's flawed boot system any more. People who go in as parties will just end up kicking people for dumb reasons. This is a bad idea.

ive got a bullet with your name on it but i accidently used it on justin bieber

no the boot system made L4D multiplayer horrible

It's a good idea but parties would abuse it.

how about bungie makes it were you cant kill or hurt your own team mates. we should have never had the ability to kill team mates. that would stop your nooby team mates from killing you just so they can get the sniper rifle

Nonononono. This would be terrible.
You would have griefers kicking you from the game. Which is worse than getting lit up.
Bungie just needs to be able to track soft grieffing.

Although that would solve the problem it would really detract from the multiplayer experience. Having to hold back in case of hurting or killing a teammate really makes you have to think rather than just rocket/laser/tank spamming and not having to care who you hit.

Ugh...

First on a BWU.. yeah, I'm cool.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

Let's say you are in social slayer. You went in with 2 of your friends, and there are 2 randoms on your team also.

You want a challenge so you call up vote to boot, and your friends play along and boot the 2 other guys, making it a 3V5.

How is this fair? The 2 guys who didn't really do anything got booted for what? For playing by themselves, or just being a minority on a Team.

If the 3 guys think that the 2 other randoms aren't good enough, they get booted. How is this fair? What did they do? Thier stats weren't good enough. Not fair.

Vote to boot will make Halo crap. Period.

  • 07.21.2009 1:04 PM PDT

not really. its just irritaiting killing team mates when i really meant to kill the enemey

  • 07.21.2009 1:05 PM PDT

thats what happens in rainbow six vegas, you can get booted from matchmaking because the matches are created by a host and if you dont have a headset or good stats you get booted. which really isnt fair. if you pay 60$ for game then you should be able to play the multiplayer.

No too many ways to be abused.

Yes... It would be abused...

So, what if it where changed so that if you where fired on by an ally you then get the option to vote to kick. Then, it would require a vote from everyone on your team.

IFYM

Stupid idea. Take Social Slayer on Halo 3 for example, and let's say it was added there. A party of four could come in and vote to boot their teammate for NO REASON AT ALL, and they could do it every single game.

problem is, who has NEVER been killing by an ally running right in a battle, shooting for like 5 seconds after your opponent is dead with their AR, and since you're no shield and low on health, he kills you and it doesn't even count as a betrayal?
or allies spamming grenades where you fight, thinking "it'll help him lol" and end up taking down your shields or even killing you.

Thats pretty much the point of why Bungie should try add a "Vote to kick" system

Fact 2: European guys are hotter

I guess I can understand if you don't want to make out with guys in the US if they're so ugly, you should just say so though.

Um, wouldn't people just go into swat with a team of three and vote to boot there Random? When you play swat with less players on your team, you have an advantage. Basically people would just end up booting people for reasons that are not valid.

In this case, it would help HLG and such evolve. You could shoot your Teammate in the feet with a rocket launcher and help them 'Super jump' to a special ledge.

Death to rank junkies.

No. It would be like in Left 4 Dead, where anyone can call a vote to kick someone, and 9 times out of 10, people will just vote to kick that person for no reason, even if that is the best person on their team.

Accidental fire, what then? Or if you had the majority of the players in a match with you, you could grieve all you want, but they couldn't grieve you back.

  • 07.21.2009 7:25 PM PDT

As long as they make it the "Back" button, and not a face button it would be ok. I hate accidentally voting people off on other games while pressing x to reload. Of course, then we will get jerks who attack you, and force you to kill them so they can get their party to vote you off for having a high pitched voice or something. It would be abused.

its a very yes no system. lots of problems such as random booting, and if its a 4v4 and your trying to boot someone with a guest, you cant, cause they always have 2 votes against

You do realise that you can't go further than the 60th minute in an hour right?

Yeah ok, maybe not in Canada...

I say no. Have you ever played Left 4 Dead and got kicked because you suck. I'll admit it, L4D isn't my game, but is retarded when you pay for XBL but can't even play your games on it because some jackass wants to be funny.
