The events on Delta Halo took only about a day or two, right?

Although, I have read that it took them several weeks to get back from Delta Halo...

I wish I was still legendary.

Master Chief's invasion on High Charity could have been finished several hours after tartarus's death.

He leaves High charity at the same time that the doors to the control room are locked. In the first cinematic where you see tartarus enter the room, you hear the doors crash shut. At the beginning of 'the great journey', you hear the same noise, signifying no time has passed.

taken from the H3 legendary edition's cinematic commentary.

I think it would be cool if the rookie turned out to be one of the guys that was with Johnson at the start, albeit without his armor because of...um...eh...a Slipspace rupture!

I believe so, yes. That was in Halo: First Strike, right?

Fear the Probulator. Looking at my stats I see, well go ahead.

After the events of Halo 2, how did Johnson, Miranda and the Arbiter return to Earth?

I believe that this may be covered in ODST, making Johnsons appearance in Firefight relevant.
The final levels may be played out similar to the Halo: Landfall short films.

Discuss.

Was talking to my friends about that shortfilms & h3odst. There are 2 odsts in it, not the guys from h3odst but would be cool to tie it in.

I doubt that would happen though. ODST takes place right smack in the middle of Halo 2. And, the difference between the time of the drop and when the Rookie wakes up is 6 hours. Even though the time lines do converge, I doubt that the game goes on for much longer after that. In real world times, I would say, the game, after the flashbacks last for another 6 hours, enough for the night time city to change or something. That leaves us with ODST hypothetically ending 12 hours after the Slipspace rupture of New Mombasa. I don't even think the cruiser and In Amber Clad would have reached Delta Halo. Even if they did, this probably would be around the time of the beginning of the Civil War.

Good points, Sanjeev.

Well if Bungie didn't tie ODST in with the later events of Halo 2, they should have. :/

Too late for a storyline tweak?

Well, technically, the entire layout of New Mombasa has changed and technically, in Halo 2, there weren't any ODST shenanigans.

You never know, man.
