common sense is not commonly used

I felt one of the greatest additions to Halo in Halo 3 was forge. However I feel it could be improved.
I'd like for objects to be able to be set to movable or immovable. Also if environments are destructible, have an option to turn destructable environment on or off.

does anyone else have some ideas.

Your friend is not a reliable source of information

90 degree snap feature

hold down a button to make objects stick to a grid (like the grid in sandbox) to make them be aligned perfectly with much less hassle

those are the first things that come to mind

I didn't even think about that. Also maybe an actual built in merge feature instead of the roundabout ways we have to do it right now

good idea, plus adding the ability to have an x, y, and z axis format* for more accurate, and infinitly better, forging. this whould allow novice forgers a chance to create some quality maps as well as giving the more advanced creators the tools to create the seamingly impossible. adding an advanced forge option that includes everything in this post and infinite money(or at least alot of it) and almost limitless objects at our desposal(it should contain more advanced features than what the average forge has, such as the x, y, and z axis format* rather than the free placement format.)(*=the x, y, z format is the standard format for modeling programs such a 3Ds max and g max, x is the positon on the floor, y is the rotation, and z is the elevation)
