Ok this is my problem: everytime I play a game or two on halo, it will say you have failed to load map on when I try to play another. It will let me play only the new maps when this happens. I can turn my xbox off then back on again then it will load, but when I play for another game, the same thing happens. Not only this happens but when I play in the middle of a game, a window will come up and it will say that I have network problems and it ruins my level. I think that these two errors are somewhat related and I seriously need help. But I know that I'm not the only person with this problem there's alot out there that this happens to. So I don't know what to do right now and I don't know whats going on. Is there something I need to replace or is it something with the hard drive? And what do I need to replace and how much does it cost? Please help!! Can you reply to this post by sending mea pm ok thanx

Your DVD-rom is going bad. Very common. They put crap DVD-roms in the first batch of XBox's. They use to have a sticky about this, but took it down.

You can get a new drive or laser at http://www.richspsxparts.com/xbox.html
I noticed he increased the cost of the whole drive. Hell, for all the trouble, you might be better off just going and buying a new one. Some people on that old thread said they called MS and -blam!-ed till they got a replacement. You may want to try that also...1-800-4my-xbox

I'm on my second box, and this second box I had to replace the DVD-rom. Real common problem that MS doesn't want to admit exists.
