Does anybody know if the 30-90 second delay while maps are confirmed entering matchmaking will be removed in the version of Halo 3 multiplayer on the second disc?

I've routinely purchased maps as soon as they come out and it irks me that this has to be confirmed every time I play despite hundreds of games played on each of the maps in my history.

I'm hoping that they won't have to check with xbox live or verify my gamertag matches the purchase or whatever DRM-like nonsense goes on during this delay since the maps will all be on the disc. Anybody know for sure?

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

Yes, it will solve that issue since all the maps will be on the disc.

Just common sense, the maps are on a disc, just like like the original Halo 3 maps are.

Common sense tells me that once the maps have been purchased, downloaded, and used, they need not be verified against a central server each time the game is started..

Anybody know if this is fixed on the ODST disc?
