Recently I was pming as many mods as possible to close a thread. I did this because I have no idea when each mod is online, available to close a thread as quickly as possible. Then I thought of something that would make everyone's lives a lot easier: how about a button on every thread? When you click it, it sends a warning message to all of the mods showing the thread that needs to be closed, moved or deleted. I think it could be quite handy.

Only Becausae I'm Awesome

Forum Tutorials --- WATCH THEM AND LEARN

It would probably get abused to the point of exploding. For now though, just email the mods at bnetmods@gmail.com

I think that's it. Someone can edit me wrong otherwise.

Everything could work if it wasn't abused...*sigh*

How about somewhere on the page, or in your PM folder or something, it actively shows which Moderator(s) is/are online.

My two pence.

Or, an online/offline status. That way, you could PM any moderator you know is currently online.

Got a report? Use the report tool or send a pm.
Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).

Perhaps then something to show you which moderators are online?

Sarcasm is the lowest form of humour. However, it is my favourite. ☻

I'm not that active, but never dead.

How about a link that says PM active Mod. I don't think the Mods want everyone knowing when they are or are not online. That could too easiler be abused. Instead, just click on Report thread, and then it will PM one of the Mods that rae currently online. If none are online it will wait in a queue untill the next one comes online. Then it will PM that Mod.

Each Bungie, net member can only Report a total of 10 threads per day, and once a thread is reported it can't be re-reported again by someone else.

I like the idea - but I would narrow down 10 to maybe 5 or 6.

Yea, I was just being leaniant. The whole idea is to create a system that allows the common member to help the mods do their job more effeciently without giving people the power to abuse and spam the -blam!- out of it.

Perhaps a symbol would show with a number of reported threads (viewable by mods)
You just leave a message with appropriate information. The number by the symbol viewable by mods goes up. A mod can then select the symbol and be taken to a screen with a list of the reported threads.

Therefore, although they may still be spammed, they could find out who's doing it (you would leave your name automaticly when you report the thread)

If you understood any of that, tell me what you think.

I'm not quite sure, but I think that these forums are made by people other than Bungie people - this is why it says "Powered by Ideal Science" I'm not sure if that's an option. A more reasonable thing would be a search function, which I have been hearing rumors of.

I couldn't have said that better myself.

Hey baby, its all Kool and the Gang.

If it is going to be used innapropriately, the mod should be able to detect who is PMing them. When they arrive on the scene and see that the link is an innocent one, they can refer back to the fool who Pm'd them and whip out the old blacklist.

If you look at their profiles, it will show when they were last active. Pick the mod who is currently active or one who is online a lot. That simple.

Yes, but who pays ideal science?

Bungie.

Why doesn't the moderators reply to these kind of threads? I'll copy this thread into Igni Ferroque...

They often do, just give it time, and they will throw there two cents in, if asked nicely.

That was a mistake. Now Shishka is going to kill you.
Actually, he probably won't but using his forum like that is not a good idea.
