I know you probably dont want to hear someone rant about "the good old days", but hear me out and think about what i'm saying. The collumn currently has a Xbox live emphasis. This is good, and i have no problem with this. What isn't fine is that thos of us who, for whatever reason, don't have Xbox live, are left out in the cold. I know that there is a huge emphasis on the multi-player aspects of H 2, but what if you dont have any friends who are interested in anything but the person who lives half-way accross the country who they play Halo Live with? Its heretical, i know, but maybe the collumn should have something more... internet or home... related? Maybe I'm alone, maybe not, but i would like an answer to my question.

-Quaere verum.

Got a report? Use the report tool or send a pm.
Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).

I know what it feels like. But there is plenty for you to do. There's groups/chapters, the forums (not all based around live) and so on.

It can be lonely without live, but unfortunatly, live is really the reason why Halo 2 is so big.

And what's so unfortunate is, I bought my Live account for Halo 2 Live, yet ended up cancelling it for the same reason. At the time, directly after Halo 2's release, I found more idiots on the medium (Live) than decent players. Now, without Live, I understand where you're coming from, me101grayorder.

Although, Gods Prophet does have a point; there are still many aspects of Bungie.net that aren't associated with Xbox Live and its services. Take his examples, for instance.

Thats true ..I don't think halo 2 whould be the game that it is unless is wasn't for XBOX LIVE.I love it but I still love the the story line and the books on halo.
I think If I had to I could make it without live.

The stats section is really the only part that relates directly to XBL. Everything else is similar in functionality to the old column. My group started years ago on the old column, solely as an offline group that met in person once a week to play Halo.
