First off, I would like to explain that this is "Anti- Time Travel", meaning that my theory does not include Halo 3's ending looping with Halo Reach's beginning. Okay...
While reading many people's threads about how Halo 3's ending is related to Halo Reach and the planet at the end of Halo 3 relates to a "Halo 4" is getting very . . . well, annoying. So I came to my own theory which may be confusing and lead to many flaws and problems but... hey whatever.
My theory of the end of Halo 3 (Halo Reach related) : When I first saw the ending of Halo 3, there were automatic thoughts in my mind of a "Halo 4" and things continuing Master Chief's story. So in 2009, June I believe, the world was introduced to a new project known as Halo: Reach. The problem was that many though Halo Reach's planet and sun bare way to many resemblances to Halo 3's ending scene. At first, I thought Halo Reach would send Master Chief back to Reach in time but at the same time, I knew it was impossible. The new trailer for Bungie's game and Halo 3's ending caused extreme vexation to relate to then it hit me:
Halo 3's ending was just a mere way to tease people about Halo: Reach
Explanation: After the credits of Halo: CE, We see Guilty Spark lingering in space giving hints to many that a sequel is inevitable. Then after the credits of Halo 2, we are then, once again teased that a sequel is once again, impending. Then Halo 3's true ending shows us a remaining piece of the ship Chief is in drifting towards a planet.
"So... are you implying Bungie is teasing a sequel at the end of a Halo game ?" Actually I'm not implying that Bungie is teasing us with ideas of a sequel but, their NEXT PROJECT. I know it seems weird but think about it:
Ending relating to projects map:
project: Halo:CE ----->teases idea of next project; Halo 2--------> teases idea of their( their being Bungie) next project Halo 3------> teases their next original* project Halo: Reach.
I also was ready to answer some pre-made questions that many Bungie.net users would have asked:
Q: "IDIOT THINK BOUTZ HALO 3ODST, WOULDNT HALO 3'S ENDING RELATEZ 2 HALO 3 ODST BECAUSE ODST WAS THE PR0J3T AFT3r HALO 3 1NsTEAD OF HALo R34cH!!!!1"
A: Well I personally considered this: Halo 3: ODST was originally meant to be an expansion and usually expansions to developers are not big projects. Nor are expansions considered in being made for the original game. Expansions are made after when a successful game is sells well and then developers consider making expansions or DLC**.
Q: "How does Halo 3's ending and Halo Reach's trailer relate again? I don't see any resemblances ."
A: Think about it: In Halo 3's ending there is a damaged ship with someone on board drifting to a mysterious illumines planet, then Halo Reach's trailer includes a damaged ship(which btw, are identical ship models) with a guy inboard the ship drifting to a illumines planet. Are the to people on the ship the same? No. Are the planets the same? NO. regardless they share resemblances.
Q: "Giant wall of text ForTheLose"
A: "BLAM! you."
Q: "Fail"
A: Repetitive
Q: "tha man is hot in real life right?"
A: Chyeh
Notes:
*Apparently Bungie has been working on Halo Reach as soon as they finished Halo 3 so that was their original project after Halo 3
**DLC is sometimes planned but is not considered a new project.
