This would be a good time to point out that the US Government seriously did consider nuking the moon during the Cold War as a show of force. Project A119.

"A large explosion on the Terminator line would put the sun behind the mushroom cloud, making the explosion visible with the naked eye from Earth."

Then the US decided they'd just send in Neil Armstrong to land on it. Neil Armstrong - the one man on the earth that was considered a suitable replacement for a nuclear missile.

Lets say you start out campaign with your standard-issue Mark V. As you progress through campaign, hidden KIA Spartans can give you armor upgrades. All you do is simply take a piece of their armor and add it to yours. Here is what I had in mind:

Head
Standard-Issue helmet- standard perks
v
Medium Plated helmet- damage taken to the head is reduced by 10%
v
Heavy Plated helmet- damage taken to the head is reduced by 20%

Chest
Standard-Issue chest piece- standard perks
v
Medium Plated chest piece- damage taken to the chest is reduced by 10%
v
Heavy Plated chest piece- damage taken to the chest is reduced by 20%

Arms
Standard-Issue gauntlets- standard perks
v
Steel gauntlets- Damage done by mele increased by 5%
v
Titanium-A gauntlets- Damage done by mele incresed by 10%

Legs
Standard-Issue legs- standard perks
v
Tiger-class legs- Speed incresed by 5%
v
Cheetah-class legs- Speed increased by 10%

So that's what I came up with. Anyone else like it?

get out of here stalker

Roar! I will eat you, but ignore your points of discussion and ideas, not giving out a reason why!
This seems pretty cool. Maybe it could be for things like the environments being significantly harder to navigate through, or enemies being tougher to kill. And they would be hidden, so searching for them gives you a boost in your next mission.

Although that sounds interesting it sounds a bit too RPG-ish to me. But who knows what Bungie are going to do, you never know.

I'd like it if it was just for the campaign, but if that leaked into multi player, I wouldn't enjoy it at all.

beat me too it lol, great idea and it would be interesting, but i just think it would be too much for a halo game, halo games a fairly simple FPS's nothing too fancy like COD and others.

I like to derp and stuff. I have a YouTube channel~

Derp

I also think it'd be a good thing to try, but just not here. Cause also, it doesn't help to explain why all Spartans who are equally equipped in terms of armor would be walking around with just steel gauntlets and other armor pieces without titanium-A. Generally a good thought, just not good enough.

"If buttered toast lands buttered side down, and cats always land on their feet, then what happens when you attach buttered toast to the back of a cat?

This is Halo, not Call of Duty. There are no Perks. If anything there would be an armor downgrade as it takes place before Mk 6 is issued, and possibly Mk 5.
